That's completely inaccurate. The video of the game is copyrighted by whoever filmed it, or paid someone to film it. That clearly falls under established IP guidelines. What happened during the game, however, is a matter of public record.

but it's always disheartening to see a mother buying GTA for her 10-year-old saying 'he'll just play it at his friend's house anyway.

You know what? That's not the game industry's problem. The ESRB does an excellent job of telling consumers what to expect from a game. If kids are still playing these games, it's the parents' fault. And TFA agrees:

It seems like no matter how many warnings you slap on the box, there will always be some parents willing to ignore them in order to appease their pleading youngsters. From that point on, the responsibility should lie solely with the parents who purchased the product -- and no amount of legislation upon the game industry can solve the social problem of poor parenting.

Guess what? They probably did send video footage that covered the "overall gameplay of the game", as well as "the game's most explicit scenes." In case you haven't been paying attention to what actually happened, the explicit, previously unrated parts of the game are accessible only through third party patches, and should not, therefore, be considered part of the game itself.

Should Rockstar have deleted those portions out of the game? Of course. But it's not accessible by regular gameplay, and not even by entering a cheat code. The ESRB's rating should stand, as it is still an accurate descriptor of regular gameplay.

Absolutely not - as much as I love both shows, you need a plot when you make a movie, something Family Guy, especially these days, can't manage.

  21. Re:That's great and all on Google Toolbar for Firefox Released · · Score: 1

To be perfectly honest, not having a Firefox toolbar doesn't make MSN last at all. To rank the search engines' toolbars, you still have to compare their features for IE, since IE is still the far-dominant webbrowser in terms of usage. I imagine the percentage of Firefox users that use any of those toolbars is extremely small, since most features are redundant.

This is still a good step in the right direction, though, and will definitely raise Firefox awareness.

The game would be a lot less fun if they were all one button games. Most of the one button games in WarioWare are either timing (i.e. punch the button when its time to catch the glass) or hitting it a bunch before the timer runs out (i.e. "Munch!" or whatever). I'm usually pretty happy whenever there's a d-pad game to break up the trouble.
