Seeing as that SCO will claim anything as being their own code, this could seem rather difficult. I think the only way around this is to code your entire driver out of the typical hello world. Oh shit, SCO owns that too.
I guess I should buy a calendar for that year and write in the date! Can't forget it now can I? Or maybe I should just print out the article...that is if the ink lasts that long. Ohy.
It's always fun to see another group of people make fools of themselves when not a single vehicle can finish the course. Video or not I doubt this next one will be any different.
This happens to the best of us. Ya know what was hilarious, when Blaster arrived my school decided that it was all MY fault that it was on their computers. Just figures, they don't use proper protection of their network and workstations and the one person who knows more than all of them combined instantly gets blamed. Don't be ignorant just because your stupid..Crappy assed retard windows sys admins. I told them to use linux..loosers.
This seems a little easier to read, but I'm not too sure about the links so I won't anchor them..

Common, what money is there in the demo scene's dev tools? Squat. However the talent that is put into making the demos happens to be what is worth the big dollars. So WTF Mate to that. =)
What do you mean? The scene isn't dead, it is still active albeit not quite what it used to be. Everybody always considers a project dead when the masses leave. However from my experience this COULD be one of the best times for development, no distractions.
Computer demos have always led the way to the latest in graphics. Be it with commodore 64 (those were the days), Amigas, or the PC it will always be amazing to see what the next year's demos have to offer. I say that this will only spur on more creativity..good for them.
Just try using a Winamp where the buttons are the standard win32 widgets and you can't put it into window shade mode. *shivers in horror* I don't think I could live that way in windows, good thing I can always go back to XMMS on my gentoo box.
*gets a towel to wipe down this computer* Now why didn't you tell me this sooner! *walks away limping slightly with a charred crotch* Ouch...ouch....ouch..
Why the heck is the parent of this got a Score of 0? His post is a much informative one and I find this kinda anoying. Hint: Moderators should give points for things that deserve it. Just a little hint.
"Windows users have fewer vulnerabilities"
it says is big letters and then under it:
After collecting a year's worth of vulnerability data, Forrester analyzed Windows and four key Linux distributors on key metrics of responsiveness to vulnerabilities, severity of vulnerabilities, and thoroughness in fixing flaws.
Not once to they mention how often or how many windows has. It seems like every month there is at least two. Sure M$ fixes them quick, but linux has maybe 2 or 3 in a 6 month period that are serious.
Assume for a moment that I wasn't forming favorable opinons of him. I just said that I assumed that he was alright and he turned out be otherwise. Idiot.
Do a little thing like web standards mean anything to you? Common, Internet Explorer makes every single web developer's life HELL. It's almost impossible to make a decent page when Internet Explorer follows about 5% of web standards today. If Internet Explorer wasn't around the internet would be a much better place.

It's bloated mini software! Wait...bloated mini...what?
I told you not to lock them in a room with computers. This is EXACTLY what I said would happen. *shrugs and walks off*

Ahem. Microsoft Bob. Thats all I'm gonna say.

Actually Apple denies that there will be a 60gb model. It's on ipod lounge, and I'm too lazy to lookup and paste the link.

I really have never done that, well no matter. If an install fails I just try it again later anyway.
Damn straight, thats why I use Gentoo...ahem..If I had a geekgirl..too bad I'm stuck with the average woman.

Good point, there is a flaw in the story. Good job pointing it out.

Probably not.

I actually went to school with the guy and he didn't seem so bad. Just goes to show what assumptions will get ya.

I know! I know! How about we avoid it completely and change it all to DO-ME or STOP.BEING.LAZY.AND.CODE.ME That should solve the patent problem.
