Well in my case, it provided a lot of closure. I always felt like a retard when I tried to play that ET game. I'd sit awake in my room at night figuring, "OK" I just need to be smarter or pay more attention. I can't believe a video game on the atari would be wrong or bad, so it must be me!!"
When I saw the article title, I thought, "Oh please God, let it be on the list. Anywhere on the list!" Number One... There is a God.
Sure why not? Let them continue to adopt monopolistic and anti-competitive practices that got Microsoft in so much trouble a few years back. A couple more maneuvers like this (threatening their suppliers for dealing with others) on a scale that large, and they WILL attract attention from the Justice Department, republican-controlled, or not. Or so I'd like to think.
I don't really buy the "wal-mart is evil" mentality on the surface, but I sure don't side with them when they pull stunts like this.

There are GOING to be jokes. Doesn't mean people disrespect him. You simply can't pull the stuff he pulled and not get some barbs along the way.
Oh come on... That's like saying it was unusual or surprising that John Candy died of a heart attack. I don't mean to diminish him or be mean... I liked him.../I'm out five bucks. I had "cobra mishap." "croc attack" wasn't even money.//I kid, I kid. Sorry. I liked him. Really.///oops. this isn't fark, is it?
You could probably consider the release of those clips a few years ago with snippets of the Doomsday Machine a test balloon to see what our reaction would be... It's not going to change anything. I look forward to seeing what they do with The Enterprise Incident.
I'd sure like to live in the same world where you do and everything under the sun is explained and nothing weird, strange, or unusual happens. Ever. Not even once in a while.
Basically, it was a piece of junk. The remote was unwieldy and must've had over a hundred 'actions' that could be triggered by holding down three or four buttons simultaneously. Getting it to recognize its 'toys' like the balls and pins was damn near impossible regardless of the lighting mode I was using. It could barely hold its own balance when walking, let alone getting up from a (frequent) fall. I took it back to Sharper Image and traded it in for one of those memory foam mattresses.
The RIAA and MPAA are teaming up to sue the highway patrol of all states with interstates that border on other states for failing to stop them and prevent them from allowing friends to copy their DVD's and CD's.
They don't care about averages. (Liberals, not the NSA, who by definition, kinda sorta likes the whole math field) I am not saying this to be mean or short-sighted but every time I see a very liberal person taklign about the wiretapping/phone records issue, they genuinely come across to me as someone who would rather see people DIE as in DEAD than have one single person's phone call monitored that shouldn't have been. Does it matter that they were talking about a recipe for fried chicken or a rendezvous at a restaurant? No. The thing is, I can't figure out if it's blind stupidity alone, or stupidity mixed with blind hatred of the Bush administration, and by extension, the military and intelligence communities.
in the simplest terms possible, how is it telling you how to raise your kids if they prevent them from buying a game that may contradict how you want to raise them, but encourages you to have more input how they are raised?
That's about right. There were some books (some of which might have been canon. i don't remember) that explained the history of synthehol... A Ferengi invention so that during bartering, a potential business partner would be matching the Ferengi drink-for-drink, getting wasted, but the Ferengi staying stone-cold sober just by 'willing' the buzz away. That left him in control of the negotiations.
Yep... a nice friday afternoon with nothing to do, and a beautiful beach and 82 degrees 10 minutes away, and here I am reminiscing on what I read about synthehol 10 years ago. help.
As a longtime fan of the big three "Star" franchises (Wars, Gate, Trek) I just want to beg you to consider the following: Don't screw up the continuity. Berman and Braga did this, and frankly, the F'd it up. Not only did they F it up, but they insulted the fans that called them on it, complain, or tried to give constructive criticism by calling them "continuity pornographers."
It's probably so obvious, it doesn't need to be said- If Luke hears the words "The Force," in the show, it's over.
I also want to say thanks for confirming the show's time-frame and setting as you have. B&B kept lying to us until the pre-production was WELL underway or even after episodes were already shot and in the can, saying, "Oh, no, there are no final decisions that have been made yet." when we wanted to voice concern over those same issues...
When your primary means of getting your message out there is Coast to Coast AM with George Noory, you've got to wonder how far from the pack you've strayed. OK, so now she's got a book. Big achievement. Her website reads just like every other paranoid schizo that proclaims the world is coming to an end because of a rock on mars that looks like a skull or they see Jesus in a pancake. In short, if they have surveillance cameras, they're evil in her book.
Strange... I am surprised SecuritySpy won't work with a 6620 when it works so well with 5300's. I had assumed they were essentially the same camera except for the zoom. Or is that the problem? No zoom functionality? If that's it, I guess it's pointless to recommend EvoCam since I'm sure the same issue would be there...
Especially when the 'plebes' might have something against him, or slashdot. I had a friend on evercrack and his name was "negas" Apparently, he was contacted by a GM or whatever they're called and told it was too close to the name "Nagus" in Star Trek! Supposedly, they didn't want popular SF names being used. Turned out some psycho had gotten annoyed with my friend and pointed out this 'violation' to an admin who listened for some weird reason.
The funny part was that during this entire conversation, my friend was walking around with some character named "Troi!"
He did. The big piece of plexi, and the use of the Plexicorp helicopter. Lots of people assumed it was transparent aluminum because they weren't listening to Dr. Nichols when he said, "It'd take years just to figure out the dynamics of these matrices..."

I made a joke, but agree... It's possible to be respectful and still joke about it. Can you imagine what they're going to say at his funeral?

If you're old enough... Joe Isuzu! Freakin' hilarious...

Thanks for your time!
I sense a new product and service for locations near hospitals and clinics offering treatment.... Buttermilk enemas!

Some idiot GM probably decided to nuke his name for bragging rights.

Ugh. I shouldn't have known that part verbatim.

Oh go ahead. With everything you've got.
"George Bush doesn't care about Mac people!"
Or better yet, start feeding it images of crop circles that haven't been proven to be fakes (yet.)
Either way, they could call it a test balloon, and they likely got their answer.
