No doubt! I remember one of my favourite things was when I played was an early demo Metal Gear Solid that had original Japanese voices and english subtitles and that was so much fun to play!! There was something about it that made me feel like I was immersed in some anime. Too cool.

I'm not sure if region free will provide something like that but if the Wii can give me an experience like that again I'm jumping off the PlayStation boat! Heck at the price how can I lose!? (Asides from being beaten up by Bowser in some Mario incarnation...)

I can't help but wonder what the next cool thing about the Wii will be?

But that doesn't mean that in having my trust that they get all the freedom of an adult. After all, I'm legally responsible for them.

This whole bigbrother arguement is lame. If I get either of my boys a car when they are ready or if they drive my car you better be sure that I'd have a GPS or any other type of monitoring device on it initially. Especially if it's my car! I have the right to know how it's being used. Also, if something were to happen it would be my ass that got sued.

Anyways, I've been on the choir long enough.

  6. Well that can't clearly work! Let me tell you why on Irish Company Claims Free Energy · · Score: 1

You forgot about the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. See, you got this cat spinning around at the speed of light while you're feeding it a city blocks worth of energy. The problem lies in that the moment that you have enough energy to teleport you can then no longer know exactly where the cat is. (Because you can't know position and energy at the same time.) So at the moment that the cat has enough energy to teleport, it blinks out of the box (because you know that's where he'd be). The next thing you know you have cat that materializes on someone's lawn and as soon as someone looks at it and astutely says "Look a dead cat materialized on my lawn!" It promptly explodes to release all the energy you fed it and you're left in your Delorean wondering why the engine is turning over.

It's an interesting idea but fundamentally flawed.

I don't think you have to feed the cat or does the whole thing about cats landing on their feet only apply to living cats? Hmm, further testing is required. Anyone got a dead cat?

There is something disturbing about the image of this contraption though... Maybe it would be better to put the whole thing in a giant black box then it would be Schroedingers Feline Buttered Bread Commutator and it would spin endless because the cat isn't dead until you look inside the box! In your face laws of nature!

I want to tell my advisor "I do not wish to have any stock in *insert name of company with dubious practices here* please" and then it just happens. 15. Bingo! on Stephen Colbert Wikipedia Prank Backfires · · Score: 2, Interesting

It's those subtle edits that distort what the meaning of the truth is that not only hurts Wikipedia but the media in general. I mean how often is a war refered to as a crisis? How badly has the reporting of science been over the last 5 years? I can list more but I think we all know what topics those are and it would just draw unneeded debate.

When the truth is warped and sensationalized it hurts the overall perception of facts which destroys the public trust of fact. It reminds me so much of "corporate terminology" you know the language - give bad news using positive terms so no one realizes you're giving bad news.

Anyways, as much as I love Wikipedia as a reference. It's that haggling over the subtle wording that drives me bonkers when I'm fact checking. Reading what some of those people argue over is unreal. But I have to do it because I never really know what I'm reading until I investigate. I keep thinking that some articles shouldn't be "public" or finalized until they manage to iron them out properly and remove things like POV, opinion and vaguerities. It's still rough but I think the article shows that they are making an effort to be responsive to these problems.

Don't take this as I think you're wrong 100%. I more or less agree but I think that rather than using law there needs to be programs in place to give parents more time parent their kids directly and effectively (without looking over shoulders or witchhunting "bad" parents).
