Black & White = Peter Molineux. Also promised lots on Fable, and didn't deliver. His early games (Populus, Dungeon Keeper, Magic Carpet) were really fresh, and some were funny. For me, he peaked at Dungeon Keeper.
Spore = Will Wright. Sim series (Sim City, The Sims are the two better known games). All games are attempts at simulation with quirky humor. I have a fondness on Sim City 3000.
Coelho has sold over 100 million books in over 150 countries worldwide and his works have been translated into 66 languages (Goodyear, Dana (2007-05-07), "The Magus", The New Yorker: 38-45, ). He has received numerous literary awards from a variety of countries, including La Legion d'Honneur (France), Grinzane Cavour (Italy). In addition, he has written Maktub[5], which is a collection of his best columns published in the Brazilian newspaper Folha de São Paulo, The Manual of a Warrior of Light, By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept[6], The Fifth Mountain, Veronika Decides to Die, The Devil and Miss Prym, Eleven Minutes, Like The Flowing River and The Valkyries[7].
If you expect to open a pack and get a fun trinket in game, what would stop every wow player to open just one pack and get it? Then it would not be special.
- You get 100 points per pack. - You can get a nice amount of points in special tournaments (probably more than 100 points and less than 5000). - You can get omg lucky! and open an special Legendary Loot card. It gives you a code for a special reward in game. Turtle mounts are reaching some high prices...
So this is more a problem of children crying GIEF NAO!
I enjoyed playing TIE Fighter the most. I haven't played XvT yet. Was there chaff in TIE Fighter? Can't remember using it.
Anyway TIE = Maneuverability, XWing = Shields. Of course, TIE Advanced upped the ante (And the TIE Defender was bollocks!)
It's not hard to target a missile trying to blow you up, accelerate, turn around, approach it from the side and blow it up with concentrated laser fire. More than one, though...
I think the real fun was in managing your energy to address every situation. I'll try to rescue my Order of the Emperor tattoos.:)
I would suggest to build a ComSat Station on your main Command Center as soon as possible then. Don't save on research, and get the range upgrade from the Academy soon. Protect your Bunkers with Supply Depots.
Although they may have extended soon and a lot of their Drones are getting mineral, keep camping those Vespene rich zones so they cannot get the same upgrades as you.
On the solely merits of being open source and spanish-mexican-latinamerican developed. If it gets good, i'll notice al of you:P

However, i must also talk about this blissful game. I never got into VGA4 testing, as it is even more micromanagement (more than i can take). But having played my share of VGA 3 games i must praise it as one of the best multiplayer games ever. You could play it on your own, but the "AIs" out there (Admiral.exe, Dominate.exe...) are not very bright.
The ELEVEN factions are extremely balanced. You can play as the Borg! How cool is that? I played versus 10 other people with weekly turns, and the possibilities for alliances, treason, double play and the likes are endless:D you can sell information (Bird People), Use firepower and diplomacy (Federation), Invade planets with your huge infantry troops (Lizard Men), Explode your own ships (Fascist), Use evil Fuel-draining minefields (Crystallines), Assimilate and use warp chunnels (Borg), Blockade planets and stir unrest (Rebellion), Board enemy ships when they are out of fuel (Privateers), Make huge amounts of Fighters or Mines (Robots), Use the famous Imperial Blockade with a Star Destroyer (Empire), or spacefare as the best and use your huge amount of fighters (Colonies).
There are UFOs, Meteorites, Cloaking, Space Minefields, Warp Speeds, Lasers, Torpedoes, Shields, Carriers with Fighters, Terraforming, Assimilation, Orbital Bases, Transports... Almost every thing you have thought about in spacefaring Science Fiction is there...
Although the initial GUI is horrible, there are tons of programs you can use as the file formats are well documented. I used VPA as my main GUI...
Alrigh, i'm getting nostalgic. Time to download it again (it's shareware, with a limit on tech, but nothing that dampens mixed play with registered players...) and get that VPA. One of this days i'm getting myself a reg version, if i get some friends to play with me!
Mod parent Insightful.
That's not addiction, that's depression. L2P.
I was just referring how astrology groups people by a random* rule (day of birth) and judges their** personality. That's pretty bigoted!
* Okay, that's not random. That's arbitrary.
** I am not people.
Then astrology is completely bigoted. Do we agree?

How about (-1, [Citation Needed])?
from wikipedia:
There are game cards you can buy for WoW that have that exact formula of pay-as-you-play.
Mario Strikers Charged is released today here.
It must be because it's soccer (almost), but still.
That reminds me i have to go buy it!
That seems like a good password policy.

I just came back after the gig and i had a great time. If you ever want to check it out, please do so.
I'm now going to the theatrical release of A New Hope, dressed as Qui-gon. I just like in-jokes.

Who else has a red lightsaber? Count Dooku (Darth Tyranus)!
City of Heroes?
:P
I have only read and heared good things about that game. If i had a job i'd probably play it.
IMHO, in a MMO, the community is what makes it or breaks it. After all, it's the interaction what you pay for.
