Is it me or does it seem everyone speculates Google will do all these different services? IM, WiFi, Bill Pay, electronic transfer of money, etc......where are they getting all this info?
I wonder if the slashdot effect occurs with mail clients. Seeing as everyone probably clicked the first link thinking it was a web page, only to have their mail app load up.
Bob, Microsoft Engineer: "Our design was influenced around our environment when creating the controllers."
Behind the Scenes - Microsoft Engineers have their hands full with dozens of donuts, realized the circular shape... walla! New Xbox Controller Born.
Isn't having this feature a good thing? Its definitely not human-readable and easy to trace, but I'm sure to some CSIs it's good to have for investigation into ransom notes. Wouldn't this technology be similar to being able to have bullets which they can trace back to the gun by the markings made on it? Why doesn't the EFF fight to make it impossible to trace bullets while they are at it?
You could still run into the same problem with regular phone lines. Its possible to create a DoS with normal phones. A bunch of computers programmed to wardial continously a number. Your phones would be ringing off the hook.
Name one good reason why you wouldn't activate E911? Not setting it up is just like not using your seatbelt. It's there for you to use, but you choose not to.
If he is complaining about his current stand taking up "valuable desk space," then perhaps he should get rid of that random vase of junk on the left and clean up his desk a bit more often.
For me, rather than learning a new keyboard layout or buying specialty molded keyboards, I decided to make sure I do a lot of different things with my hands to build up strength, and to make things, less repetitive. Try stuff like playing guitar, or another musical instrument, or getting a toy from thinkgeek, like the Powerball.
By that? The thing can't even do divebombs, pitchbends, or slides. All it can do is chords, not to mention it sounds a lot more like a piano when a machine is plucking it.
It sounds like that apple would most likely use the PowerPC for Power Macs and Power Books and xServes... while reserving Intels for the consumer line of products, iMac and iBook and Mac Mini.
Even if word counts were used, it still wouldn't measure "productivity." Doing something faster, could require fewer key clicks. Perhaps, the tech wound up creating a quick script to automate a bunch of tasks? So then he just clicks a button, and pounds out 100 jobs.
...they'll make a movie based on the 20 million old spider blood.
Anyone else notice that Diebold also handles other highly critical transactions? They make ATMs for Wells Fargo to card access for campuses?

GPL code in UnixWare...SCO forced to either pay damages or open source the Kernel. Something I never thought I'd see.

What about the covers for most of the Atari games? I remember the cover for skydive wasn't anything like the game. Same with Tank.
Great, more fat kids falling off the dance floors.

Well for one, I'm sure people will not put on their tinfoil hats for this... to avoid their heads from being cooked like a baked potato.
we slashdotted Linksys!
I'm curious as to whether people who are allergic to shellfish would be affected by these bandages.

Isn't there a whole issue about some of these components being made with lead?

Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer, so it would be their job to even things out by asking interviews from "hand-scribbled" resume submitters.
