Passing another vehicle on the road is perfect example. You have to accelerate to pass the car that is in front of you. A legal move.
A car that decides to cross a road at a moment you are going through that road. In certain circumstances, the car could t-bone into you if the driver "assumes" you will continue to go faster. To avoid this, you speed up to miss him from hitting you from the side.
While probably very rare, if you are at a railroad crossing with about four tracks, and the speed limit there is 15 (I've seen areas with 5-10MPH signs near train tracks) and the gates start closing in on you, you can't accelerate to get out.
One time, a police officer sort of gave me "permission" to speed. It was an area where the highway forked, and traffic on the right side was at a standstill, and I was the only one of the left. Over the PA he gave me a "go ahead" to go faster than so he could get through to the other fork. There was no shoulder for me to turn off onto, so this was the only option of him to get by.
I'm sure there are a lot more examples where speeding is necessary on the road. Its the careless speeding that needs to be enforced. People that go 100+ on a highway of average 65-70 MPH drivers.
What the device should do, is somehow gather the average speed of cars in the area, and limit speed to the average so there are no careless speeders.
The bad news Mrs. Adams is that all of your credit card numbers have been stolen by hackers. The good news is, well ermm there is no good news for you other than we can charge you a 32% APR since you've maxed out all your cards. Oh by the way, we'll need your keys for collateral...
Excuse me? Excuse me, senor? May I speak to you please? I asked for a mai tai, and they brought me a pina colada, and I said no salt, NO salt on the margarita, but it had salt on it, big grains of salt, floating in the glass...
Teach your kids that a computer is a tool, and not "their lives." Children can get really caught up in computers and such, but you should let them know its a tool thats used to do certain things, and not to kill time idly all the time. Let them use the computer for educational stuff when they are younger, as they get older (enough for them to have a computer in their room) then that would be a good time to let them play games and such. Until then, it's just a tool.
Motorolas are quite incompatible with Macs. If you look at the iSync page, you'll notice it requires a USB cable. Bluetooth syncing isn't supported, for that matter I'm not sure if even modem connections are supported either. Not to mention syncing over USB is really buggy as well.
Another problem with drunk driving, is that a lot of people feel that there is no other option in getting home. In the city I live in, I noticed there is a lot of people against people being drunk (not out-of-control drunk either mind you that, even if not enough to drive). First off, city buses don't run at night, so no one can use a bus to get home. Taxis, have a reputation of reporting their drunk patrons to the police, and walking home is usually not an option since a police officer would most likely consider you a "Suspicious Person," then ticket you for public drunkeness.
So overall, the public needs to be more supporting of programs that do offer rides, and urge city councils to let buses run longer.
Why not do something similar to what has been done for people that smoke, create a WiFi section, and a non-WiFi section. People with laptops and etc, should go to the WiFi section of the coffee place. There, they could specifically do things like locking electrical outlets so people have to run off their battery. When the battery is out, they are done. Also, they could put this section in a part of the coffee house which doesn't restrict patronage. Thus all the customers that don't use WiFi get prime seating and service, etc.
Wouldn't you need to turn off the computer either way to install the graphics card you are going to install a driver for? Usually the instructions say along the lines to install the driver first, shut down the computer, install the card. Or Windows would prompt you for the driver at startup, and load it without needing to restart. Then again, a majority of users already would have the drivers installed... so whats the point?
If tigerdirect is an Apple retailer, isn't there a clause within their contract saying that says they can't sue Apple for stuff like this? If they don't have a contract, couldn't Apple sue them in return for being an "unauthorized" vendor of Apple products, or using the Apple/Macintosh/iPod name?
You have to realize the education many kids receive in school tends to be a broad range of subjects; science, history, english, math, etc. When kids usually go to computers, they get completely involved in what they are doing they question the point of the other subjects. During school I remember I was learning more about HTML, CSS, PHP, Cocoa than I was with any other subject available at school. It seemed more interesting to me. Perhaps the fact that we provide generalized/broad education to kids rather than specialized/focused education is a reason for blame?
Has NASA considered selling satellites they no longer wish to use out to universities or private companies? For example, with the Hubble telescope, perhaps they could sell it, as well with the Voyager probe. It would help NASA get the much needed cash, in return for a program they no longer wish to fund, but someone else might want to fund.
Plastic isn't any better, its made using oil.

It shall be named, "Gas but not quite gas..."

I'm sure the doctors were wondering where's Waldo?
All the Walmarts I've been to denied the pictures from my honeymoon. I guess they must be some really good professional pictures.
Thousands of spectators trampling on your lawn to see your awful house?

Atleast you didn't get arrested for Skittles... I knew something was wrong about catching the rainbow.
Does this mean I get to wear a cool fedora and carry my distro CDs in a violin case?" I see you are running Red Hat.
So putting this Type-R part will make my computer faster, right?

A more appropriate US response would be declaring the family part of a terrorist cell.
Is that a man or a woman or somewhere inbetween? Looks like a sample image thats made to be friendly for either gender.
We'd only expect an article about the Old West and technology from Cowboy Neal.

Or the realm of Wendy's Chili Bowls.
If I were him, I would have rather gotten "tribbled" rather than stoned.

Phantom V7 is already digital...
