  1. Personal review of Multiplayer Ridge Racer DS on Nintendo DS Wireless Game Roundup · · Score: 4, Informative

WARNING: Do not play multiplayer for this game - it is utterly pointless.

Ridge Racer's gameplay is really smooth, and while playing multiplayer, you do not ever see any lag (or screen skipping). BUT, for some reason or another, there seems to be a certain delay in the game. For instance, if I'm speeding past my opponent, he won't see it on his screen until a few seconds later. This means, there are certain times during the game where we both can be in first place. Additionally, sometimes I purposely bump my opponent but on their screen, they have a clear path.

I'd give the game a 1 out of 5 for multiplayer - as the races never reflects its true state... leading to confusion in real-time.

  2. Add RSS capability to the Google toolbar on New Google Homepage Features · · Score: 2, Interesting

One feature I noticed on the new personalized Google site was that you can add your own RSS feed. Google should integrate this into their toolbar (like Yahoo's toolbar), in case some users aren't really sure how to find the RSS file associated with each website. Instead, the toolbar should recognize that an RSS feed is available and a button should appear stating something like "Add this RSS feed to Personal Google page".

A coin is more likely to land on the same face it started out on.

If this is true, we would still want to call the opposite face since we after it lands, we always flip it onto the other hand. That is, if we start with heads facing up, and it lands more frequently with heads facing up on our palms, by the time we slap it onto the back of our opposite hands, tails is facing up!

  11. Re:My wishlist for GTA: San Andreas on Rockstar Announces GTA San Andreas · · Score: 1

My wishlist for future GTA releases is a simple one.

Make sure the PS2 can handle the game.

Have you guys replayed the first GTA3 and compared it to the Vice city? The former had consistently more people and more cars on screen at any time. In fact, sometimes I would hang out at pedestrian hot spots and recreate massacres. But, if you play VC, look down the road at any time. The streets are completely empty with the exception of one or two vehicles and there may be 3 pedestrians max. If you get your "star" rating up where the cops, fbi, etc are going after you. Hide in the corner and WATCH THE GAME LAG!!
This was the biggest dissapointment for me. A lack of pedestrians and vehicles to blow up at any time during the game, and the lag experienced when too many objects are on the screen. Fix these issues and the game will be great!

  25. Re:I feel bad for gamecube on Next-Gen Console Rumors Summarized, Discussed · · Score: 0

You seem to be very passionate about this so let me try to clarify my point for the hopefully the last time.

Gamecube console sales were not doing well.. either by the standards of nintendo or the gaming industry as a whole. We have seen the system's price plummet from 199US to 80US. A price drop to 40% of the original price only 1 1/2 years after its debut... prob not what the folks at nintendo had in mind in order to sell their consoles.

The games they have for gamecube are great. Im talking about Mario (kart, party also), Zelda, Pikmin, Monkey Ball, VJoe. These titles sell pretty well because a large percentage of gamecube owners purchased these games.

However, Gamecube may induce more sales in their gaming titles if it had decided to include M-rated titles like Halo, GTA. It seems like they will not though.

But even if they did, would it sell as well as the same title on PS2? Probably not. Case in point: all sports games that are available for all 3 systems, PS2 sales are the highest and GC the lowest.

Which leaves me with the statement: I feel bad for gamecube. They DO have a good system and solid games but they will never be able to outsell PS2 or Xbox. Quality of game titles is certainly NOT the reason but Quantity might.

This is my point. Feel free to argue.
