The Chinese government is claiming to have property rights over all thing relating to "Great Walls" and are demanding the universe pay royalties for using this "Great Wall".
In other news, the computer used to generate this map of the universe was running Linux so SCO is now claiming ownership over the entire universe. Permits to live in their universe may be purchased at any local SCO vendor for $699.
I remember one time I was trippin and threw a ball into the air and it never came down... could this have caused the ball to hover over my head for 20 minutes? This probably wouldn't explain how the ball was laughing at me though....
Of those 2.2 million calls reported that were tapped, how many were actually criminals? And how many other calls were tapped illegally by the same groups? It sounds like X-Files to me. The truth is out there.
I posted a comment on an earlier story and I was wondering if they were finally going to use my idea of killing civil rights leaders that caused the stink in Florida because of GTA3's "Anti-Haitian" views. KILL EM ALL!
They're afraid that you're downloading pirated movies and software. Just write them back and tell them you're only downloading kiddie porn found in the public domain in newsgroups and everything will be ok.
How many millions did those idiots sink into designing and building the first Aibo? They really expect to make a quality robotic dog with all of this functionality with only $2.5m? It sounds like they're just trying to shut someone up that kept saying "come on guys, give it a chance!" Seriously, have you seen Aibo try to run and keep up with a person and still remain somewhat "stealthy"? This project is doomed from the start and our tax money is funding it. $2.5m might not be that much split 250,000,000 ways, but how many bad $2.5m ideas have they come up with lately?
"The scene is closed to much of the world; would-be participants have to gain the trust of insiders and prove their worth before gaining entry. And the lifespan of groups tends to be short, at least on the Net, where players come and go."
It's only closed to those who don't know about P2P apps, IRC, FTP, WWW, E-mail, CDR/DVDR, and any other method of transferring data... and the easiest way to gain entry is to type something like "/join #warez950". As far as the players, they don't come and go, they just change their names and keep doing what they're doing. I'm sorry, but how silly is this article?
I will hax0r mineself and become someone rich and powerful!

If NASA did use a wrist-computer running Linux, would this mean SCO would go from international pest to interstellar pest??? Will it ever end?
Because NASA FEARS SCO!
They have to charge more because the techs that install towers didn't want to go near Celine Dion's house.
*sigh* People on slashdot take everything too seriously. I code.
Judging by how well the alpha ran, and what systems are out today... April Fools seems appropriate if anyone expects this to run worth a p00p.
I read the headline and got my hopes up. I hope him and his big-bottomed women burn in hell for this outrage.
Will it turn my 5950 into one of those sweet 288MB Wildcat cards from 3DLabs? That would be worth the risk.
Sorta like running Scorched Earth in DOS under Windows under Virtual PC on Linux under VMWare on Windows NT, right? ...I think I lost myself.
CLI emulating CLI. Seems redundant.... or even repetitive.

This is /. who reads articles?
The panic on everyone's face when someone asks about TP and everyone thinks it's related to IP.
Only in GW Bush's homestate would National Geographic stoop this low. Next they'll be flinging cow pies.

WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE! Oh wait, most of us will be dead by 2050 anyway... nevermind.

I guess this means I can't scan a $20 and print it on my dot matrix anymore, right?
