Okay, so then have a setting on the client's computer -> ON or OFF. When the user actively sets it to "ON," he grants permission for the white-hat worms to come in and do their work.
... but what would be wrong with using a security flaw to send a virus or worm that fixes said flaw? It would be extremely cheap to implement, and nearly transparent to the end user.
I'd just suggest that the users computer serves the white-hat worm for a day or two (kind of like a Bit Torrent), and then automatically deletes it.
Flattened faces and extremely polite language (even while being insulting) seem to be Asian caricatures... and I personally thought the accents sounded Asian.
The best thing to do would be to tweak the plants so they are sterile, and thus, incapable of cross-pollinating. This should be a very easy thing to do.
I think the company screwed up in staging that picture the way they did... by holding the device so close to the camera, while having the model's head directly in the background, the illusion produced is that the device is monstrous. The cropping of the model's hands doesn't help much, either.
You are in a large room. To the North is a passage marked "My Documents." To the West is a passage marked "Control Panel." There is a faint light coming from a small arrow, which is floating in front of you. There is a small bin labeled "Recycle" in the corner.

If you ask me, that's not "bombing" Michael Moore... it's promoting him. If this Glenn Beck guy is trying to do him harm, the "miserable failure" would seem to describe his effort.
Michael Moore should pay this idiot for advertising. The more people read his site, the more his cause is helped.
use floppy disks like memory cards... but then most newer computers (that I've seen at least) don't come with floppy drives
USB thumb drives, natch! Hell, I'd love the idea of having all of my saved games on a USB drive I could take to my chum's place... I just may start doing that. Thanks for the idea!;)
and they weren't all 'designed by computers'...the cars looked good and had individual personality.
Cars are still designed by people... some just use computers. It's not the fault of computers that modern designers suck so bad.
Take a look at the Ford GT. They used computers extensively in its design, and its one of the sexiest cars out there.
The biggest problem with a tax on the 'net in order to pay artists is that the model assumes that each artist's works are worth the same amount.
I'll tell you one thing, if a tax is put in place, I'm going to go out and cut a shitty record so I can get my money back by collecting on my "artist tax."
... I've succesfully (and legally) avoided spending any money on music for months, while downloading hundreds of new artists and songs. I've just been scouring for free downloads from artists' websites, etc.
One of my favorite sites is Epitonic.com. I've found so many great artists there...
The heat sink, on the other hand.... whooo-eee!
Expect there to be a big lobby against this technology by Lo-Jack. They'd be out of business if this could be used to track stolen cars.
I'd sign up.

Is that a bad idea?

That's why these guys are so cool. Oy, that's a bad joke...
It's a good thing it's not running Windows... by the time I'm getting to work, I'd just about get to see the mouse pointer appear.
So if the kid gets a bionic implant, will he then be Jon Cusack 2.1?
Hey, buddy... keep your slime off my buttons!

Why don't we just ask the Koreans? Eveyone and their dog had broadband there.
Be sure to check out the MC Hawking site... there are some hilarious MP3s, including my favorite, "F*ck the Creationists."
...but how did the author find "coffee shops with free wireless" using that search???
It's possible that signs of life may be found embeded in the ice near the surface. Perhaps we wouldn't have to drill far...
Screw that. I want an architecture that runs on the voltage/current provided by a grapefruit!

Cisco 7900 Series IP Phones Nifty indeed...

Fantastic.
The added value comes from people who already have burners going out and buying new ones just to get this technology.
