    Okay, so then have a setting on the client's computer -> ON or OFF. When the user actively sets it to "ON," he grants permission for the white-hat worms to come in and do their work.

    ... but what would be wrong with using a security flaw to send a virus or worm that fixes said flaw? It would be extremely cheap to implement, and nearly transparent to the end user.

    I'd just suggest that the users computer serves the white-hat worm for a day or two (kind of like a Bit Torrent), and then automatically deletes it.

    Is that a bad idea?

    Flattened faces and extremely polite language (even while being insulting) seem to be Asian caricatures... and I personally thought the accents sounded Asian.

    The best thing to do would be to tweak the plants so they are sterile, and thus, incapable of cross-pollinating. This should be a very easy thing to do.

    I think the company screwed up in staging that picture the way they did... by holding the device so close to the camera, while having the model's head directly in the background, the illusion produced is that the device is monstrous. The cropping of the model's hands doesn't help much, either.

    If you ask me, that's not "bombing" Michael Moore... it's promoting him. If this Glenn Beck guy is trying to do him harm, the "miserable failure" would seem to describe his effort.

    Michael Moore should pay this idiot for advertising. The more people read his site, the more his cause is helped.

    use floppy disks like memory cards... but then most newer computers (that I've seen at least) don't come with floppy drives USB thumb drives, natch! Hell, I'd love the idea of having all of my saved games on a USB drive I could take to my chum's place... I just may start doing that. Thanks for the idea! ;)

    and they weren't all 'designed by computers'...the cars looked good and had individual personality.

    Cars are still designed by people... some just use computers. It's not the fault of computers that modern designers suck so bad. Take a look at the Ford GT. They used computers extensively in its design, and its one of the sexiest cars out there.

    The biggest problem with a tax on the 'net in order to pay artists is that the model assumes that each artist's works are worth the same amount.

    I'll tell you one thing, if a tax is put in place, I'm going to go out and cut a shitty record so I can get my money back by collecting on my "artist tax."

    ... I've succesfully (and legally) avoided spending any money on music for months, while downloading hundreds of new artists and songs. I've just been scouring for free downloads from artists' websites, etc.

    One of my favorite sites is Epitonic.com. I've found so many great artists there...
