That's exactly what I thought. It is basically his last chance to release it on regular DVD..... to then relase it in a few years in HDDVD/Blueray. Yay money!
Email itself is a management problem. There are a lot of people at my office that will send an email and then anywhere from 0-15 minutes later they are coming over to my desk or calling me expecting that I have read their email and want answers.
In a perfect world it would be great to have the local video store or cable company or telco manage all the GB's of TV shows and movies.
However what happens when Tom Cruise wont promote MI4 unless the video store/cable company/telco appends a non fast forwardable/skippable copy of Battlefield Earth to anything you want to watch?
I would say yes and yes. To me, they complement each other quite well.
Without a source of random new music how do you know what you want to buy? Sure iTunes will give you a 30 second clip of a song, but quite often that is not enough to judge a song.
XM's new portable receivers are tied into Napster( Should be iTunes, but I guess Steve wouldn't play ). If you hear a song on XM while you are listening you tag it and then later you can purchase the song though Napster.
Banks outsourcing in the late 90's? It is still going strong today.
Oh well i'm sure that they all have iron clad SLAs with their outsourcing partners.....and when the outsourcing partner goes bankrupt as a result of royaly screwing up.....Oh well. I guess it is just time to bring in some more consultants to find a new and better vendor (or break down the process even further for more vendors).

The code it runs needs some work. Missed recordings, broken search, broken guide, etc.
When Eisner came on he was the man who turned Disney around. There was another man (who I do not recall right now) who was hired around the same time. This person was in a more senior position than Eisner. That person was more responsible for the turnaround.
Unfortunately that person passed on and Eiser took over. The downward spiral started shortly after.

PS, Imagine if automakers did the same thing! Good thing they give me free upgrades every year. I've had a new Honda Civic every year since the 70's! Woo hoo!
