Yeah, but I don't really see this taking down the iPod. Sony is jumping into too many things at once, and eventually, they are not going to accomplish much. Sure, I like the idea of the PSP, but this? Eh. Not that I hate it, I just don't know if it's worth it...
And I'm pretty sure they will. After all, if you remember back awhile ago when idSoftware created Dangerous Dave in Copyright Infringement. Nintendo did nothing but praise them for their efforts at making the PC a great platform for gaming.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT! When I clicked on the link, I expected it to be some kind of nicely done 2-D remake of the game -- with edited scenes and such... but when I saw that first screenshot of Chrono, I too wanted to cream myself. Christ, what have these kids done? Someone's going to be making a lot of money if the royalities don't get them first...
Yeah dude, seriously. I mean, I watch it for a lot of other reasons, but Leo is the man. He's one of VERY few people who actually appeal to all audiences -- unlike Kevin, who appeals to hackers, and Adam, to gamers.
Even though the idea of a huge Technology/Gamer channel is one of the things I've always dreamed of, It's never going to be the same as TechTV was. Gah, I wish Comcast would have just put G4 on another channel and left TechTV alone. They would generate enough profit from TechTV by itself... why change it?
The last time I saw a Sega was yesterday when I was playing my Dreamcast. Even today, way after the release of the Playstation 2, Xbox, and GameCube, the Sega Dreamcast is still my favorite console.
And who's to say that Sega can't just make games? That's exactly what they are doing now anyway, and they are doing a damn good job at it. I really miss Sega being in the hardware industry... hopefully one day they will get back into it, but I know that will never happen.
Well, I'm sure if he has other applications that he wants to run on Linux, then no, that didn't explain anything to him.
I admit it -- I only dualboot because I play games on Windows, but there are other applications that WineX doesn't seem to want to run too well also. Nothing against the program, I just think that some modifications could be made to make some less-known Windows software run a little bit better. Maybe one day, we'll have some other cross-platform software that will just run all software, instead of emulating it all. I know that will probably never happen, but you know... nerd's dream. Personally, I can just dualboot and deal with it. Windows for games -- Linux for everything else. Can't run Windows software on Linux? Find an alternative. And on Linux, there's always a better alternative.

Yeah, you have a point, but I'm sure that if you look at enough of them, you'd get pretty tired of how the digital camera photos looked, especially when you know you could make them ten times better.
From the writer's point of view, he makes a lot of sense -- a lot of people, although probably knowledgeable of those tips, choose not to use them, and because of that, they suffer from low-quality photos on their blogs.
Personally, I don't care, but I don't look at that many moblogs either -- just Xanga. And most of my friend's use digital cameras or scanned images on their blogs, so it doesn't really bother me.
I think Microsoft is just now seeing how bad this browser is actually hurting Internet Explorer and want to try to win it over by persuasion without bluntly buying it, angering the Open-Source community. Because, if MoZilla's file system does change, Microsoft will basically own it, disallowing it to be on other platforms, without advertising for Microsoft.
No details on how they caught him? Sounds fishy... Catching a virus writter has been proven as one of the most difficult things to do. I bet they just found some kid talking shit in a BBS, traced his IP, and nabbed his ass.
Since Baystar does have that much power over them now, I think it would be best for them to foreclose SCO. Not because I hate them, but because it just looks bad if the world knows Baystar basically owns SCO and is still letting them run about.
Either good or evil, I think it'll be a good business move to just shut SCO the hell up.
Just put it like this. The public is a lot bigger than the/. crowd and I think they should be taken more into consideration while selling these products than us. No offense to anyone though.
Not really. One of the key factors of CDs is how they can hold data for a long time. Why do you think people back up old VHS tapes to DVD format? Because it's digital? I don't think so.
CDs are made to store data over the years and to keep it there. That's one reason why it's so popular today.
But in that case, Nintendo is leading, and will continue on, even if the PSP is released against the GBA SP. When it comes down to the games, Nintendo is the King.
I think they should be reviewed on what's different from another popular and similar distro. After all, I think whoever aksed this question is referring more to the desktop themes other than the Operating System itself. KDE desktops look almost the same... no matter which distro of Linux you're using. Same for GNOME.
I don't see how. After all, they (not being a flamer) weren't very good to begin with. I doubt that launching new Music Download software will make their current devices sell anymore than they already do -- after all, iTunes is compatible with any PC running Windows and is also with Apple computers.
Yeah, I really see your point, but I guess Apple doesn't really like to stay with the new feel for a long time. I think there should be some kind of cheaper upgrade version that you can download to upgrade your OS -- after all, it's still using the same software, drivers, firmware, etc that it was before the upgrade -- it's still OS X.
Heh, in my Broadcasting and Video Productions class, we still use Mac G4s with OS X Jaguar and they still work really well.
It depends on how user-friendly Linux becomes, but as of right now, not at all. If they can successfully learn Linux as it is right now, then they will definitely learn to use Firewalls (which I'm personally against) and Anti-Virus software.
Can you honestly look at the GeForce 6800 Ultra and say nVidia card's suck? If so, something must be wrong... Even though Ati's X800 XT card totally kills it, it doesn't necessarily mean that it sucks. After all, it's a huge stepup from anything else.
I still use my Radeon 9600 XT and I'm proud of it!
RedHat is a distribution of Linux.;) I think you mean non-commercial Linux over commercial though.
Even though I'm all for being free, I think commercial Linux distros are very good. It's really hard to find good support for non-commercial versions, mainly because they aren't getting paid. After all, it's always good to give back to the developers that made it so great.
Oh, and that's not why we complain about paying for Windows...
Not when it comes to Broadcasting and Video Productions. Even in the class I take right now, we use some older hardware, but yet we can make videos like the rest of the more expensive hardware users around the town. If you know what you're doing, old hardware can last for a very long time.
We still use Mac G4s in our Studio, but with the primary use of Final Cut Pro 4 and iMovie 3, we don't really need a reason to upgrade.

Long live Sega!
Yeah, or maybe they are just lazy and want Compaq to make it. After all, HP owns Compaq, so if Compaq does make it, HP takes credit for it.

That's VERY true. When you type in my alias, SphericalCrusher, in a google search, the majority of the links ARE from SlashDot. GO /.!!!
No MoZilla's directly, but MoZilla's compatibility with Longhorn's, over anyone elses.

Not always true.
But in that case, Nintendo is leading, and will continue on, even if the PSP is released against the GBA SP. When it comes down to the games, Nintendo is the King.
And that means there will probably not be an Upgrade package of Windows Longhorn...

Hell, if there was no AMD, we may not even SEE a 3.06 GHz processor. After all, AMD was the first to break the GHz barrier.
