For all of Google's amazing technology they don't do a very good job of linking things together. They have "Pack" which has Firefox in it, yet they don't update the toolbar for it! How can you support something in one area, then not integrate it into your existing offerings?? duh.
If everyone would kindly take a dollar from their right hand pocket and place it in the right hand pocket of the person sitting next to them, I believe my client will drop their grievance.
Has to be the fact that their, "NvIOpRAM 24GB" is just a mini-stereo jack, available at Your local Electronics Store. Sweet that means i can build one of these for like $20!
I think if "trust rank" was user specific sort of the way search history works that would be ideal. You clicked on the link from the news which means 1) the article interests you and 2) you trust or are interested in what the source has to say.
For me thats the true power of google's massive database, what do I look at, and how can I find things I need faster. Give me USEFUL information from sources similar to those i have used before.
I honestly believe google is doing amazing things with internet based UIs, but this one leaves a lot to be desired. Its not very intuitive and I find it kind of hard to use. Its not nearly as elegant as gMail or as easy to use as Maps. I wonder why this one seems to be a shotty hack.
Granted he is also offering all the TnA you can stand, but the idea is already there. I would hope he is making money off this as it would allow more "content providers" to place their stuff on the web for pay-per-view.
Highlight the text in a webpage, right click. You get "Search for " Sounds like the good folks at mozilla already have this feature. And the tags on the page described just seem like useless overhead.
So does this mean we can hold gun makers, people who build cars and knives to the same level of responsiblity?
Lets do a little math:
Gun Deaths last year approx 16k = $40,000,000
Traffic Deaths last year 43k = $107,500,000
I am just counting deaths, sounds like we could balance the budget if we include anything that might cause a crime also.
Given its small size and the notion behind it of a small network of friends accessing files shared solely for eachother, with some effort could this be the start of the Downhill Battle file sharing proposal?
I thought the only cool thing about the orginial Segway was that it had two wheels. Guess i was wrong, now there must be nothing cool about the old Segway.
Couple quick observations:
1. Google search URLs now have the browser type as a parameter, not sure if this was always the case
2. The JPEGs are rendered on the fly, i had 1st just assumed that they agreed with the publisher to include certain key phrases and just have the entire book highlighted statically, but by varying the q= param in the url you can get it to highlight different things.
Example
Took a bunch of the chinese and ran it through babel fish ( i know no chinese so i cant verify any of this ):

Here is a link to a photo of the "biggest" hacker.
Just mix up all the keys on the keyboard, they can easily pulled off with a flat head screw driver.
