The evidence is flimsy and the University should be giving their students sound legal advice and defense in what's really a civil dispute. You might want to take a good look at why it creeps you out, there is good evidence in the psychological department that suggests when you have an negative emotional reaction to something like this it usually has to do with some type of deep repression about something close to or of similar taboo located in a dark place inside where people don't want to usually go.
Its similar to hate crimes against gay men. for the most part straight guys that have such a violent reaction usually are struggling with that beast inside of them selfs. Great way of putting it. I didn't want to draw parallels to the idea of loosing our individuality because as soon as you start going down that path people start getting freaked out. Ultimately you are right we are a product of everything we take in, so how much of an individual are we really? We are building on the thoughts and ideas of others. Its the creation part of us that is a power in and of it self that we use to build our world outside of what we were taught. So I think part of what makes us an individual will be absorbed into the collective consciousness, while other areas will still remain independent. We all need to draw from the well of creativity on a personal level because that allows us to relate to each other and grow as humans.. But if we have everything to make us whole inside the collective we wont need anything to make us more than we think we need to be. So it seems like our focus will shift from coming to terms with who we are as individuals, and more about accepting our ultimate purpose as a collective which probably has something to do with coming into contact with other life forms outside of our universe or galaxy. Or creating other intelligent life forms.

We are going to reach a point (and this is going to be scary to allot of people) where we are no longer going to need privacy. once we reach a certain level of evolution in consciousness, Human beings are going to be directly connected to each other, we will be able to read the thoughts, feelings and sensations of every human being on the planet in ways we never thought possible. I believe that this is going to be nessesary if we are going to survive. We will all be connected to whats called a collective consciousness, which is a intelligence that will coexist with our current perceptions of how we perceive our selfs individually. But this intelligence will allow us to interface with the world and people on a global scale. We will be able to focus on specific people and bring their thoughts and ideas into our awareness. As this happens we will all be co-creating our lives in real time building on the thoughts and ideas of everyone connection with the help of each other. Also I think this intelligence will be self corrective to people that are living self destructive lives. The people that have evolved past that point will be able to help the ones that need help install new programs that will allow them to no longer need to live in that fashion any more. Its not like it will be a choice its more like everyone will have separate goals that function towards one main outcome for humanity, with this in mind I don't think it will be natural for people to live destructive lives anymore and we will all know our purpose towards bettering humanity.

Present moment awareness, understanding how our body reactions to emergency situations, the expansion of consciousness will allow us to bypass thought, and will allow us use other senses in our bodies to take action or create a reaction to situations in an instant with out much thought process.
The solution isn't more processing power in our brains, its being able to turn it off thought so other more powerful forces within us can take over and do the calculations needed to live our lives.
Here's some books if you want to get in the know about whats possible once we have reached a point where our minds distortion of the present moment has ceased to be an issue. Once that happens thought plays a very small part in the equation of creativity, and functioning in the world.

I liked your analysis. I agree that people are bred from day one to have their own ability to choose limited. But the process of learning to not be self-responsible is flawed and it is having a destructive effect on everyone human being including the planet itself. Every human being has within them a mechanism to be able to know what is best for them with out having to use much thought. You reach into yourself for the anwswer, and your body gives you a response. Sometimes its not in the form of a thought, but could be a feeling. This process is called intuition and it takes time to develop. I think the thing we are missing when we talk about how to solve the problem is that we are stuck on the idea that every decision has to happen on the level that the mind is capable of. People are able to make snap decisions in the event of an emergency without using any thought, and this process can be used in other situations. Choice isn't the problem. Its the illusion of choice that people with underdeveloped intuition have a problem with. Most of the people on the planet suffer from this. Which is why I believe that we will eventually have to evolve to the point where everyone has to be responsible for there own decision making by using other methods other than deductive reasoning.
If you remember the second matrix movie where neo, morphus and trinity are meeting with the Merovingian, you will notice that he uses this allegory. When Morpheus says everything begins with choice, the Merovingian says "Choice is an illusion, created between thoughs with power and those with out"
What he is basicley saying is we need to understand how we react to situations and understand the meaning behind what we do, and that all begins with accepting our true nature that goes beyond names and forms limited in the minds understanding only. When you can become self-aware of your own being you are truly free from the illusion of choice, because at every moment you know what the right decision is to make, and you don't need to always use the mind to figure out what you need in your life, regardless of how many options you might or might not have. You can literally pick something up and know with out a shadow of a doubt that this (whatever) is the right thing for you by just feeling it inside of your own awareness. People do it all the time with people they meet. You meet someone and something happens inside you that can tell you whether or not this person is safe or not safe. The reason why we cant use this skill all the time is because our minds can make too much noise which can cover up our intuition skills that can be pretty much used for all processes. Some things still require thought, but you don't have to be stuck it it. we are born to learn to rely way to much on thought and we need to unlearn that process if we are going to survive as human species.
Read the "Power of Now" or "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle if you haven't already read it. It has given me lots of insight into these topics.

I think that this is important, that we let go of trying to understand everything on the level of the mind. its just a tool to be used to live in the world we have grown accustom to. It is extremely limited when we try to use it outside of what it is able to comprehend. We can still access this other realm of possibilities only when we choose not to try and use energy to draw it into our minds and make it into something that only the mind can understand. We are only using like 10% of our capacity as human beings we haven't yet tapped the true reservoir of power that pretty much lies dormant beyond our awareness because we have spent to many generations relying on the physical nature of the universe, of we can see and touch, and there is a good chance it is clouding our true potential.
I think he is coming at this from the wrong angle, as we develop more awareness into what makes us human and as we understand consciousness we are not going to need to use thought as much. Present moment awareness, understanding how our body reactions to emergency situations, the expansion of consciousness will allow us to bypass thought, and will allow us use other senses in our bodies to take action or create a reaction to situations in an instant with out much thought process.
The solution isn't more processing power in our brains, its being able to turn it off thought so other more powerful forces within us can take over and do the calculations needed to live our lives.
Here's some books if you want to get in the know about whats possible once we have reached a point where our minds distortion of the present moment has ceased to be an issue. Once that happens thought plays a very small part in the equation of creativity, and functioning in the world.

I had the same problem a couple of years back. I had them sign a document stating that they are in fact aware that they are installing illegal software and not to hold me responsible in case any action was taken against the company. If the give you grief because of that you really need to find another job.
Dude, if you are playing free music, why should you have to go though all the bullshit to just play the music you are playing, if the music you are playing doesn't have any license associated with it why should you even have to deal with sound exchange?
I could be wrong about this but that whole system is great for people that want to make money of their work, but it shouldn't be the gateway for all music. let artist make arrangements on their own for christ sakes.
I liked your analysis. I agree that people are bred from day one to have their own ability to choose limited. But the process of learning to not be self-responsible is flawed and it is having a destructive effect on everyone human being including the planet itself. Every human being has within them a mechanism to be able to know what is best for them with out having to use much thought. You reach into yourself for the anwswer, and your body gives you a response. Sometimes its not in the form of a thought, but could be a feeling. This process is called intuition and it takes time to develop. I think the thing we are missing when we talk about how to solve the problem is that we are stuck on the idea that every decision has to happen on the level that the mind is capable of. People are able to make snap decisions in the event of an emergency without using any thought, and this process can be used in other situations. Choice isn't the problem. Its the illusion of choice that people with underdeveloped intuition have a problem with. Most of the people on the planet suffer from this. Which is why I believe that we will eventually have to evolve to the point where everyone has to be responsible for there own decision making by using other methods other than deductive reasoning.
If you remember the second matrix movie where neo, morphus and trinity are meeting with the Merovingian, you will notice that he uses this allegory. When Morpheus says everything begins with choice, the Merovingian says "Choice is an illusion, created between thoughs with power and those with out"
What he is basicley saying is we need to understand how we react to situations and understand the meaning behind what we do, and that all begins with accepting our true nature that goes beyond names and forms limited in the minds understanding only. When you can become self-aware of your own being you are truly free from the illusion of choice, because at every moment you know what the right decision is to make, and you don't need to always use the mind to figure out what you need in your life, regardless of how many options you might or might not have. You can literally pick something up and know with out a shadow of a doubt that this (whatever) is the right thing for you by just feeling it inside of your own awareness. People do it all the time with people they meet. You meet someone and something happens inside you that can tell you whether or not this person is safe or not safe. The reason why we cant use this skill all the time is because our minds can make too much noise which can cover up our intuition skills that can be pretty much used for all processes. Some things still require thought, but you don't have to be stuck it it. we are born to learn to rely way to much on thought and we need to unlearn that process if we are going to survive as human species.
Read the "Power of Now" or "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle if you haven't already read it. It has given me lots of insight into these topics.
I hope its better than the trailer. To me it was just a flashy piece that didnt really say anything accept that it was well edited, had good sound and good title effects.
Really good points, I think the real problem is the media and its grip on the views of the American public. The public is not well enough informed and they are not feeling like they need to be held accountable because they are not being told the truth.
When you know the truth, its much harder to lie to yourself about what is going on around you.
