I have linux installed on my tablet pc. I can rotate the screen, use the stylus, and even get gimp to work w/ pressure sensitivity on the tablet. Sure there's not a ton of other specialized software for the tablet but even when I had windows on it the only app I ever really used for a tablet was the note and journal apps. One Note is nice for the extra note organization features but if I really want to take notes I could just open up a blank gimp doc and jot notes and it would be pretty much the same as the Journal app in windows. I haven't even looked for a note taking system since I've been out of school though, it just doesn't get used that way anymore. It very well could be that some sort of note taking software for linux exists and I just don't know about it. BTW the reason my tablet works under linux is because its based on wacom tablet technology which linux has drivers for.

The dream world we're living in by the way sure as hell isnt the one where we make our network infastructure, say to other countries, sure you can connect to us, then when they like it hand over control of the infastructure. Especially when if you want control so badly you can just make your own infastructure with all the control you want. And by infastructure I mean the network topology not the physical lines because we both know that each country layed their own cables.

Natural law has nothing to do with ethics, applying ethics is what we do with laws. It is the baseline, it is where things are until restricted... I'm not talking about morality, obviously otherwise I'd say that natural law says murder is legal thus we should allow it. Please try not to put words into my mouth.

  18. Re:Talk about a slippery slope on Lawsuits Force 321 Studios Out Of Business · · Score: 1

Except that Natural Law is the ultimate authority, every law limits that. Thus unless there is a clear moral reason not to have that activity allowed e.g. Murder, then you are needlessly restricting my rights. Now if you wanna debate the number of laws that currently fall into that category... well I don't think I would live long enough to touch on them all.

  19. Re:Talk about a slippery slope on Lawsuits Force 321 Studios Out Of Business · · Score: 1

These natural truths go back to Locke and Natural Law. Natural Law being what exists when there is no community, no countys, nothing. According to natural law I can do whatever I please as long as someone else doesn't take offense and stop me. Murder, theft, everything is "legal" at that point because there's nothing to stop you but someone else.

So, given that natural state, people banded together to protect themselves against the big guy that keeps stealing your food/women/lives. Of course you can't just band together only to have someone start taking advantage of everyone else in the community so it has to have rules.

Every law is a limitation on your natural rights. So the natural truth is that what I hold I own, of course this has been limited by the law that says no, I just own the media, not what's on it. If you need any more civics lessons, please invest in a class of some sort.

Alas that doesn't always happen. Sometimes its running away from you and you hit it in the rear leg, or along the spine and then you have a perfectly alive deer, but one that's incapacitated. Thus the cutting of the throat occurs with the animal still quite alive.

Ask your friend who you helped clean and butcher the deer, he'll let you know that the deer isn't always dead when you cut its throat.

Anyway about point number 3, there was enough blood in that video, I hunt deer and they weigh in about the same as a human, so should have around the same amount of blood. When you cut a deer's throat, blood does not go flying and spurt everywhere, it bleeds profusely but its quick and the animal is dead soon after. That was one thing that struck me as correct about the video. In most movies you see gouts of blood, and that just doesn't happen.
