"to identify the players responsible for the breach and prevent later pressings of discs from playing back on those players until they are updated."
wasnt this attack based on being able to extract the title-key from the disc, then run it through stock AACS decryption libraries? they could revoke whatever keys they wanted, but wouldnt the existing un-retractably released software still have to read the key (making it visible, unencrypted, in ram....) before it could deny playing it?
The way i understand it the "player" gets the title key, normal AACS libraries are used to decrypt into a format (no-drm) that any player will play back. it has no key to block!
its huge at my house too! the otherwise sort of lame rayman title released at launch has a dance minigame where you shake the two controllers like moraccas. its crazy fun.
its like guitar hero in a lot of ways. no matter which way you cut it holding a teeny plastic guitar makes you look like an idiot, but like most things that make you look silly, its a hell of a lot of fun!
for some reason the Wii wont pick up the gateway settings from my airport express. i had to manually configure mine (including dns) for it to work properly.
the nasa HiRSE team is releasing full resolution images from the new orbiter as they are processed. its fantastic! their site seems to be down at the moment but it has the pictures, and a sofar interesting blog from some of the image processing team http://hiroc.lpl.arizona.edu/
yegads, this is the exact same problem windows 3.1 had with adding hard drives!!! Ever wonder why you so often see novell drives mapped to letters way down the alphabet? thats why:)
Unless im misunderstanding the problem, just change your drive maps to be higher than say, G:, and you should be fine!
sorry man, the intel yonahs are running on-par with AMD's latest desktop chips, at ONE THIRD the power. AMD won the price/performace war hands down, the performance/watt war is the next one, and intel currently has the lead.
when i bought a ps2, your average DVD player cost about $249. I wanted a dvd player, i wanted a playstation 2. $299 was a no-brainer!
when i look at buying a ps3, your average blu-ray player costs at/least/ $499, if not $1000. i want blu-ray, i want a playstation 3. $499 is a no-brainer!
here here! even the non-mk2 versions in the MOTU 2408 line of products work great. I use that, coupled with a presonus digimax LT preamp. 8 channel rig costs about $850 on ebay.
Ive really had my eye on the presonus firepod too... ~$600, 8 (fantastic) preamps built into a firewire audio interface.
the last link to the story isnt to the original wireless mod which i did and posted over at make: http://forums.makezine.com/comments.php?Discussion ID=33, its to the guy who made the self-contained music playing guitar. i dont believe that functioned at all as a controller for the game like mine did.
rock on! I *love* the battery pack idea! top of my list for revision two:)
it HAS FW400. thats why its such a bummer. it just doesnt do 800meg mode! the port is there already, but they couldnt convince intel to add support to their mobo chipset. its a damn shame.

it HAS a FW400 port. it just doesnt do FW800 mode. its a complete mystery why that feature was so hard to add. it certainly wasnt space.
I am currently trialing it with a few bar owners who purchaced IP video systems from us. the owner can keep tabs on the properties he isnt physicly at.
no keyboard needed. just bookmarks. and the owners can even "right click->save as" the images too. neat-o
for $200 used the PSP is one of the finest portable browsers ive ever seen.
The stated goal of the mission was to be a test flight to gather data for future flights. while they were there, they restocked the ISS. Im not sure why the heavy criticism post flight.
Sure, there is something to be said maybe about "wasting" a mission like that, but they did exactly what they said they would do, and now its a suprise?
The next flight doesnt have much more of a goal, so why not rip on that instead of the (admittedly low-goaled) extremely successful flight?
TDS is a CLEC, not a SBC reseller. the wires plug into a TDS owned and operated switch/DSLAM.
nothing in this ruling will affect TDS. only the lesser companies that cannot afford to deal with the regulatory mess of getting access to the raw copper.
They also installed a new human research rack unit which the ISS crew will be configuring and using for years to come. the ISS is doing most of the ongoing science up there. the shuttle exists to resupply, and most importantly to FINISH the damn ISS so we can actuually get more done up there.

Did you get the TWO firmware updates released this week that address that problem?

im not going to buy gas from a place that wont even make me walk inside and stand in line to take my money! what next, making me pump my own gas?!
Your front doorstep is a private place?

for how long, who knows?
my roommates are musicians and they LOVE it. If you like rock, youll like this game.
i mean, if you raced cars, you wouldnt play gran turismo? or PGR?

I would also be very interested in how you used external maps with the google API
F=(MV^2)/2
so simple. so pretty. describes so so much.
remember that most apps will be running through the rosetta PPC emulator software. so its going to take a LOT more performance to even be a breakeven.
no, its not a tamagotchi. it cant die, and requires no care. its a sim only in the good parts of owning a dog.
you play, you pet. thats about it.
