What is wrong with selling things with a little more dash and flash? Color beeps? The new beetle?
Reminds me of the old story that Motorola enginner were atonished how their beepers starting selling only cuz they offerent different colors. Not some new whiz bang feature.
The reason why they didn't do this in the beginning was they thought the kid would just get scared and run to mommy and give up. At least the kid fought back.... a little. Got a respect the first fight back.
Seriously they are the best at settlements. Remember how they offered all that software to the States... Microsoft s/w! We give it away for free so we I can lock you in the future!

I agree there is nothing wrong with applying to a lot of jobs, cuz most of your entries wind up in the trash bin, as Joel himself admits. It's not like Joel is comparing notes with other s/w companies on who applied to what.

The domain name isn't all that anyway. The three word domain names are kind of cheesy. Two word ones are the best.

Agreed. DVDs are where the money is, and LOTR has this game in spades. Theater version, extended version for every movie. What a smart move.
