Wow, that's cool that you had such an impact. The surprising thing is that the person from MS showed some personality themselves, not just some standard auto-response or straight corpo-talk. Lets you see that even the guys over at MS can be just like us... well, kinda.;)
The Blade Runner FAQ's answer for the "glowing eyes" is absurd. Haven't they ever shone a flashlight into the woods and seen an animal's eyes? They look exactly like that owl in the link's pic. Hell, I saw three racoons in my neighbour's tree just two nights ago. omg, we're surrounded by animaloids!!:)
no, it says that it can connect to the other tuning module, not that it does. If you were going to tune you'd need this other TurboXS Tuner module (which is ITSELF a wide-band O2 sensor.)
One cool thing I didn't see the first time I looked was that the DTEC can actually become a fuel controller and boost controller! So thanks for posting as I would have missed that little tad of info otherwise!:)
Not really, unless the AFR sensor is wide-band, it's going to be useless for tuning. The tuner would pull your 1V sensor and put in his/her 5V one anyway.:P
The GBA can only show what your ECU sees so the AFR wouldn't be very accurate. It's the same thing as my Apexi turbo timer that shows AFR. Since my sensor is narrow-band (1V), the ECU reading is only to get a general idea, not to tune the car with.
actually, if you weren't an amd fanboy you'd see that they're comparing the best of both camps and stating that in the end, the Intel chip is on top. price be damned, you want the fastest chip? here it is, boom: EM64T. I know it sucks sometimes that Intel drops the bomb on AMD but yes, it does happen.
this seems much like the future shown in Equilibrium. The citizens must take their emotion repression drugs or else they're in violation of their governmental law. truly a scary thought...
in fact if you were 17 and you had a gf who was 15, taking pictures is kiddie pr0n while hittin' it is perfectly legal. that's what he's trying to say - the age of consent and the age for pics is not the same. think twice, type once...
No, the ballot I used here was a single piece of paper about a quarter of the size of a piece of 8.5"x11" paper. My ballot had five parties to vote for so it had five rows - name, party, and the circle to "x". Really, it's a pretty simple ballot with not much room for error... or so it seemed??:)
Wow, the thing is great! The new VAIO X505 has some very nice goodies and albeit it may be a little slow, it does use the ULV Intel chips! Low power, lower heat seem to be the way of the future...
This seems to be a first step towards people having their own personal IP's. I can see a future where babies are born, given a name, citizenship, and IP. It does make sense when you think about it. Why should blocks of IP's remain one company's property?
IIRC, there was some way to hook up different brand Voodoo2 cards in SLI. 3Dfx said it couldn't be done but "they" found a way. Maybe the same will happen with this new card...
Showed up at Mississauga, Ontario meet!

Saw this early in the morning and decided to crash the party. Wanted to look around a bit and see what this whole thing was about. Got there and immediately I was greeted by one of the organizers and shown around. A thirty minute tour later he shook our hand and sent us on our way. Pretty friendly guy, Sohail Anjum VE3ITU, and ready to spread the word.
Now I'm actually pretty intrigued by the whole thing. They were using WiFi equipment with custom Linux firmware for their Linksys routers. They all had laptops for auto-logging their calls. Pretty cool!:) They had one superstar, John Duffy, who could do 50 words a minute over morse code!!
If anyone's interested, I ran into this website, M.A.R.C., that is for the GTA area.
Funny what you can run into by just following a whim...
hmmm... interesting idea. Funnily enough, when I first started watching anime ~1995, I too thought it was all either Akira-style violence or Ranma1/2-style yuk-yuk comedy. Then I saw Vampire Hunter D...
Actually, I collected all they had at my local blockbuster - those mentioned above along w/ Project A-Ko, RG Veda 1&2, and Dominion Tank Police. I ended up being "that guy" who showed the anime buzz to all my friends.:)
This isn't necessarily true. It seems to me that if a company does what Coke did and acknowledges the presence of their Pepsi, it's "preparing for battle" - a good business tactic. If the whole Pepsi thing hadn't exploded and Coke was still "the only one", then surely their preparation strategy would have been praised. Now what if Coke hadn't done anything to prepare and Pepsi got huge anyway? People would say that Coke didn't recognize a threat and therefore didn't prepare properly.
Obviously, hings can go either way - that's the thing about markets and strategies. Hopefully the teacher of the class wasn't focusing on "look what happens when you admit there's a threat" but rather on "either way you play the game there's still risk involved".
hahhaa ;)
not much on /., bud. now the product of your glitchy fingers is to be enshrined until the end of the digital age... ;D
NSLU2 STi? ;)
Not if Darl has anything to say about it! ;)

you didn't like T2?!! OMG, the movie has the best scene of any movie of all-time - the chain-gun scene!! OMG!! :D

ps: this is NOT a troll!
Manual transmission cars use this lock on the clutch pedal. Obviously used on cars that can't start unless the clutch pedal is pressed down.
obviously you studied economics instead of english. maybe try a 50/50 split next time, eh? ;)

Anyone got any pics of Knoppix? ;D

Well the previous poster insinuated that it was so that's all I have to go on :P
