That hasn't stopped us from commenting yet! (See also, clues about: law, politics, what Bill Gates REALLY said, opposite sex, Slashdot demographics, grammar, news, average "users", etc.)
I meant uncompressed. Meaning that the final installation (not download) would be stored in completely non-compressed format. I guess it'd use less CPU time, but CPU de-compressing is faster than loading from disk most likely.
However, my meaning was probably completely NOT clear from my post due to the time of said posting. And (noting the time) this one may not be any better, but I won't know until tomorrow.
Steam does have some restrictions. But it also has some huge bonuses for consumers. And all you have to do is log into your account -- no weird install limits or hidden drivers.
So let me get this straight -- massive piracy leads to free, legal downloads? I'm going to start installing p2p clients on every computer I'm asked to fix!
How about this: Politicians (UT or otherwise) are idiots who will do anything they *think* will make them popular. Right now fighting the evil scourge of video games is a popular choice.
The fact that they're doing this all over the nation should teach us several things -- none of which is "Um, this is Utah."
In fact, the difference is only around $30/30% which isn't THAT much more. However, I was pointing out that the Mac drive isn't necessarily an upgrade. Guess I should have been clearer.:)
Feel free to look up the benchmarks of the velociraptor. The benchmarks are very easy to find. It's a very fast drive and costs considerably more then a mere 640GB drive (which can be had for about $65).
The difference is that the LDS belief is that while Christ is Divinity, created the earth, etc. -- The Father (God) and the Son (Christ) are two separate beings. (As is the Holy Ghost.)
The three are still referred to as the Trinity -- but the Three are one in purpose, etc rather than in actual being.
There are plenty of biblical arguments in agreement, but that's a theological discussion for another place.
Should I pipe up here about DeBeers and those diamond mines?
AND when you copy those onto your computer later, you'll be even MORE likely to remember it.
>> It's not as elegant as an iPod, since it doesn't use the main Library file
So Palm did the work on their hardware to make it be "as elegant as an ipod"; and people somehow think that's a bad thing?
Apple doesn't have to provide ANY support. They just have to stop intentionally blocking 3rd parties.
Was looking to see if anyone posted this yet. Looks like an interesting puzzler (not action game AC).

actually, the wii is the only console that allows direct pointing.
So somehow between the title/summary and your post, you managed to translate "54.2%" to 2/3?
Better work on that math.
You are probably ordering items that ship directly from the manufacture. I think there's usually a note indicating this is the case.
> this has resulted in the reliance of out dated closed source Linux drivers.
So pretty much like any other graphics "card" under Linux?
Ahhhh, but would a placebo have worked, and without risk of side effects?

That's the 360 model without the HDD.
They have managed to bring the "real" 360 down to Wii price, but it didn't start out that way.
Conditionally true, but completely off-topic.

I can live with that.
That's probably the first download. I can't imagine they'd have content THAT uncompressed.
If you're going to compare Ubuntu 9.04, you best try Vista. I know many hate it, but as far as drivers go, it's much more up-to-date.
(Even moreso the Windows 7 RC)
Science shows lemmings don't actually dive off cliffs to their deaths. ;)
Of course, the sheep I've seen were all pretty stupid -- and (domesticated) turkeys seem too dumb to live.
How on earth would extending the copyright help those artists? How would it promote culture for the common good?
If they aren't recognized until after they're dead -- they're still dead and penniless.
Yeah, the lady who doesn't know how to use POWERPOINT is going enjoy learning scripting. [huge eye-roll]
>> The actual harm is that child porn happened.
Let's assume that in this case, "child porn happened". Who is the victim? Supposedly, it's the person who was photographed -- correct?
Guess who's being threatened.

Insightful?
It's getting as bad as Digg around here.

Not even close.
