1. Put a copyright on your name 2. Issue a public licence with a price on you 3. Collect license fees from everebody who is listing you, including your bank, your government, tax collector office, police, military and everybody who has you on his PIM. 4. Profit! 5. Sue everybody who won't pay 6. More profit!
Ooops, I missed the obligatory ???? point. Hmmm, maybe it's a working plan...
So, fellow slashdotters, let's try a msn search for more open source & linux stuff and make some public affairs to the official press out of those silly results!
I remember the very same engine at 8bits, C64 as well as ZX-Spectrum, with the same errors in maps (nav positions) as years later on IBM XT. So they used to buy a fully succesfull product to stamp it with their logo. BTW, the same happened with Dungeon Siege and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds.
Maybe I'm an alien civilization and this post is one letter in a word in a sentance of a message to humanity?

Microsoft Oracle SQL
A complete replacement for Oracle Oracle, Microsoft Oracle is a database engine with Stupid Query Language. Now, You can give simple questions as "Uh?" or "Eh?" to your OLAP data cube.
Microsoft Architect
New antivirus tool. In case of vrus or worm detection, it completely wipes out anything from your hard disk and keeps your computer clean and safe, reinstalling a pure initial version of XP reloaded without your intervention.
(it also helps that my one commercial program, the frau. mp3 encoder, which I bought for way too much money, needs that ancient version of libc, sigh. that's one thing that keep my linux boxen all at redhat 6.2 - but with all BUT libc upgraded).
LOL. It is not worth for you to run that ancient stuff with customized LD_LIBRARY_PATH and having all of your system up to date? Read some man pages please.
I don't see the causality between fact the Chicago police has some database and fact the Chicago crime rate actually dropped. First, it should be logically proved that having a particular database should lead to crime rate drop and not having a database should not lead to crime rate drop. Otherwise, having a database is irrelevant to crime rate.
Anyway, a typical police state propaganda. You can use it's formal logic flaws to detect it. Anytime in history and anywhere in the world.
...is to protect european technology markets from cheap, fake and low quality chinese products actually produced by american corporations offshored to Asia.
Suddenly, in my library I have a print of Panjali's Mahabhasya, which is an ancient commentary to fragment of Panini's excelent grammar of sanskrit. It contains original text of Panini's, which begins with a verse:
Atha sabdaanusaasanam.
which interprets and translates (by me):
atha sabda anu-sa-asanam
here-topic (is) sound detail-layout
Of course, this grammar and semantics theory of the human (and godly) language predates many centuries our western cybernetics theoreticians of the XX. Sanskrit grammar was formally canonized by Panini as well as today's standards of computer coding languages. No other human language before esperanto and modern programing languages was result of such scientific effort.
Some 20 years ago, it was not a surprise for me, being a programmer and yogi adept at the same time, that the world is "programable" by language. Old magicians and siddhas of ancient times knew the "keywords", even today called "mantras" which enabled to operate the universe itself.
IT IS THE LANGUAGE WHICH CREATES A REALITY.
Because it is the same language which operates a mind. And we should ourselves made some effort to operate both of them correctly.
It is really silly. They say encoding to that??? I can't believe it. All of their strings...
The first time I broke a xor "encoding" was in early eighties, in 8-bit Z80 assembly, for some Spectrum arcade I was not able to win so I needed a cheat for lives count. Romantic times. Now, I wish I could have a cheat for gray hairs count.
Yes, they noted a high politicians are most vulnerable to the personal data mining. Who cares about affairs of an average citizen John Smith? But Everybody would care about an average congressman.
I guess all those jobless yankees could simply join the army. With 2.6M stormtroopers, US could conquer some another continent for them, er... their corporations, to colonize for cheap resources.

...inside could be a quite interesting electromechanical component for home made tiny robot walker, similar to AT-PT or AT-ST from Star Wars.
It's a camera device!
So other SCO Unix customers should drop that platform quickly ASAP, to avoid legal troubles.
...has bitten off my thumb, you insensitive clod!

I am not stressed by any tech environment at all. I occasionally break any frustrating items to small shreds and pieces viciously.

...there will not be a Slashdot story posted on every project released on the Freshmeat. That would be disastrous.

Yes, we understand. G.I. Joes are a dispensable material. There is no need to feed them up when they may die. It's a plain waste of food.
Also, it reminds me of medieval common practice to pay only living soldiers after the battle.
...can be made by booting Linux and looking at kernel messages. You can spare your bucks of course.
This way, I already detected a memory chip failure which brought my friend's Windows to knees after 30 minutes of running.
"If it can't boot linux, it's broken." is may favorite saying.

It's perverse code!
They really should do MMDOWXP, massive multiprogrammers debugging of Windows XP, yeah. Otherwise Windows become a mythology itself in few years.
Yes. Did you hear about soviet crafts Venera orbiting and landing on Venus too?

Perhaps with an impaired intelligence and human skin it could drive me up as well as my girl friend?
