I stopped by the Apple Store and here's my 2 cents: They had a 20 inch iMac G5 running the video demo and it was noticably loud. I couldn't hear a thing on it's little brother, which was running only Finder at the time.
Pardon me for being somewhat off-topic. I use/love firefox, but on slashdot I get some weird column overlapping every once in a while and have to hit reload to 'get it right.' Any slashdotters out there have this problem , and possibly know a fix on this?
all you Windows users, and click right here on this giant link. Users of all other pesky OSs will be required to poke around a bit for your bothersome bits.
That right clickable mouse is, well, righteous. I could not agree more with the parent post. I love Apple, but not including a two button mouse is being just plain stubborn.
I was at that very game and witnessed the post-game event. The best part about it was how the 'authorities' were surprised by the crowd's intensity; lots of people tearing up the turf, etc. Turned out that people really were tired of disco, but they didn't know they were so many other like-minded protesters. I can easily see something like you suggest having a major pop culture effect.
Sitting down at a different keyboard can slow me down. However, on my own wave keyboard, with all its letters worn off and well-known key action, I'm fast enough. I can hardly bear to watch people a non-typist hunt and peck. Pathetic.
I once worked with a graphic designer and whenever he needed to create a letter or invoice he opened Free Hand and used the programs type features. For him, it probably was faster... and I must say, every letter out of his dye-sub printer looked perfect.

Check out Mozilla 1.7.2 for the total package.
Good. Browsing on the wife's machine (WinXP)... my mistake.

You're saying interstellar radio waves are crammed with all kinds of good stuff (including alien pr0n) but it's all noise to me. Foiled again!
in that cramped Jeffries Tube.
I found my personal style at http://www.motherboardinc.com Check it out.

...to grab the entire contents of a G5 at the Apple Store.

Anybody know of a peace simulation?
I wonder, would $1,000,000,000 be enough?
Another ineffective *inside-the-beltway* program: buttons that read Whip Inflation Now. (That was under President Ford, I believe.)

That would make him First Poster.
