if the older photo of the snow was in winter and the new one in summer - then maybe it can be explained logically, with an average-based graph, instead of "dear lord, the last few plots on my graph are going downwards, if we don't stop this, we all goin die!!!"

This was a tad late :) during the downtime, both my python google scripts and my android G1 were functioning correctly with the odd garbled text in the python script instead of an "unread" number.
the G1 didn't have any issues updating itself, i am therefore going to assume it uses imap, but don't quote me on that!

"Gmail is single point of failure." - all singular email services and hosting companies are a single point of failure, in this case, merely webmail access was down. businesses who relied on google via pop/imap did not even notice. Not to mention, google offer convenient backups of all your data in a tarball, if there was ever a failure, it is your own fault for not downloading these on a regular basis, you can also re-upload these tarballs in the event of a failure or to move to a new login.

Yet another case of Timothy impressing his own anti-UK views onto an article, I'd say distrust his article content as much as the daily mail as well until you have RTFA yourself, this is about social workers being pushed to the limit in a society where the people are so dumb the culture actually glorifys idiocy and the kids willingly get pregnant at 14/15 because that's how their parents got a place to live. Then they attempt to raise kids, its effectively creating Alabama-Britain.

but if I wish to impose my own agenda on America's social workers in Timothy like fashion:
Last time I checked America still stole children off the worst family's and put them in prison like conditions... to make sure that kids go to bed on time and eat healthy meals and the like. This is going too far, and hopefully will not pass. Where will it end? KEEP CHILD ABUSE ALIVE PEOPLE!!!!

personally im very happy with my iRiver iHP-120 from years ago, 20GB, USB mass storage, it works wonderfully with all audio sockets including optical in and optical out, and can record from optical to MP3 on the device itself

all it lacks is a playlist, sadly the firmware has been disbanded and im not willing to install the experimental user-made firmware, luckily it reads .m3u files so playlists really arent that hard to manage, oh well, if i find a larger sized usb mass storage player thats simple and requires no software at all to use all the features, i'll buy it, until then ill have to settle with as little as 20GB in my pocket...
