  1. Re:Stereotypes on Political Affiliation Can Be Differentiated By Appearance · · Score: 1

Well, I always heard those Germans were sticklers for paperwork. (I'm about one quarter German, by descent.) I've always imagined that the Ethnicity was pretty well documented and substantiated. Probably correlating fairly well to our current conviction/execution : factual guilt ratio. Basically just a wild-ass guess, of course.

I've never used a guitar midi controller, but I always thought that being able to fret a chord across three octaves might prove useful compared to the one full octave I can do on a keyboard. I used to run XXX heavy strings, like .054-.014, wound B strings, &c. That would be good for midi control maybe? The pitch doesn't change much even when you bend'em way across the neck.

"China's exports per person are still much lower than those of Germany, which has a much smaller population of 80 million people. China sells low-tech goods such as shoes, toys and furniture, while Germany exports machinery and other higher-value products."
That's 1.2 Trillion Apples to 1.17 Trillion Oranges, IMO. I don't think the Chinese worker's lives bear much superficial resemblance to the German's, but that's just a wild-ass-guess. I own a few shares of Tandy, and I quit doing business with Radio Shack, and 7-11 too, once I figured out how those Texas Corporations do business. YMMV, of course.

"the stable state for governments is a tyranny with a ruling class, peasants, and groaning slavery. Every other form of government is just a transition to that state."
    Might I add:
"Hot on the left, cold on the right, and the shit flows downhill."
In my quest to grok geologic time, one lesson keeps repeating itself, and that is that acquiescence to physics is correct.

I've seen a little cult action up-close, and the Leadership has always tried to act VERY hip. I remember sitting down with Kristina Seher and "restoring" some old Rock Standards [Think "Weird Pat" Robertson doing The Beatles], up at Boonville. It helps to indoctrinate folks if you get 'em singing.

Here in the People's Republic of California, helmets are mandatory for anyone under 18, on any sort of wheel. Skates, bikes, &c. My son will probably cease to bear the embarrassment when he turns 18 next month; I wear mine if I ride to the mailbox. I've had enough of the negative reinforcement to retain the lessons. If a car knocks you off your bike, you could land on your head. (A van knocked me down once but I didn't happen to land on my head. Pure chance, he snuck up from behind so I had no influence whatever on how I bounced.)
