    So what you're saying is, that from the consumers point of view, Amazon preventing other shops from implementing 1 click is actually beneficial?

    Did you consider just going all out and taking amphetamine? I'm guessing that at those doses of caffeine, it'd be far better for you, physiologically. Probably less addictive, too.

    My girlfriend's sensitive to coffee. It's not a state you want to be in. Yes, a cup of coffee would send her high for days. It'd also make her faint, give her headaches, make her veins stand out, etc. etc.

    Ok, it's a long shot, but... the Radon went deep into their ears, and the tumors started at the point nearest the brain. Or maybe through their sinuses.

    Certainly a link, but where's the evidence that it's a link to the mobile phone transmitters?

    It could equally be down to insufficient ventilation allowing natural Radon to accumulate in the air inside the building.

    What, you mean other than 3D Construction Kit, the development environment for the old Freescape engine, designed for exactly that purpose?

    Admittedly, it is virtually impossible to make either a good or fun game with it, but that's beside the point.

    It's sorting the wheat from the chaff - those who have the ability to go beyond rote learning, and actually truly understand the field, embrace it, and then further it through research.

    Yes, it's very elitist, but that's exactly what's a good university is about. Using the best people, best technology, and best information in order to better the field. If people want to learn a vocation and "graft" for a living, they can do that at a polytechnic (think the nearest equivalent is a community college in the US).

    Meh - 20+ years in front of CRTs and in the company of goths have left me fairly sensitive to light anyway ;)
