Sort of depends. They could make the cut high in the brainstem, above where most of the autonomic functions are located. That would technically be *much* harder than the plain ol spinal cord - which, of course, is the hard part as it is. Just connecting the major blood vessels and bones is pretty easy all things considered.
It's just a scam to keep somebody happily screwing around in the lab, mostly torturing rodents.
If it actually has a USB port, which seems doubtful given the presumptive specs - all you need is a flash drive of the smallest possible sort (160 MB!!).
This IS really annoying by Apple, even if you believe nobody (or nothing) actually looks at the data. Spotlight is always wanting to send this or that out and I've spent a lot of time moderating it's bad behavior using Little Snitch.
Apple *really* should mellow out and at least shut down the conduit. Even if you opt out of web searching with Spotlight, it STILL sends stuff back to Apple.
Although the multi billion dollar price tags often dragged out and pilloried are rather inflated (see 'Hollywood accounting') it is expensive to develop - and test - a new drug. The NIH certainly has the ability to organize the testing, various biochem labs or even start ups can do the development. I'm pretty sure that there are European groups that can help out at various stages.
India, Israel and a bunch on non US companies have shown they can manufacture the pharmaceuticals.
You don't need big Pharma at all. You need the FDA to be able to license foreign drugs, you need the NIH and perhaps some other federal agencies to coordinate activities with other countries. You can cross license patents.
You know, cooperate. It's a big planet.
But most of all the US Federal Government needs some balls. They have to be able to rise above the current kleptocracy and do something right for a change.
Now this I could go for. A big green truck with one giant-assed machine zapping, sparking and beeping in the driveway. Out comes -- a machine gun mount.
If you are an American, I can understand this sentiment completely. Given the lack of affordable health care, especially psychiatric care (do you have "Poor Impulse Control" tattooed on your forehead?), the penal system is perhaps the best option for getting the help that you clearly need.
Recently, I saw a picture of a diamond-encrusted Apple watch band / case. I'm sure there will be a market for third parties, catering to people with more money than either common sense or fashion sense to 'improve' their smart watch in one way or the other.
Now that nobody has a 'classical' style computer, case modders have to go somewhere.
The Democrats used voodoo to come up with Obamacare. What's the difference?
Voodoo involves sticking pins through a simulacrum of your nemesis. Sticking giant pins through Republicans can certainly be seen as something contributing to the greater good - at the very least it is quite cathartic.
'm fairly certain the median IQ ( not to mention ethical and moral standards ) of those who peruse Slashdot are a few standard deviations higher than those who run governments.
I think the median deviation of those that peruse Slashdot are a few standards higher than governmental officials, but not so sure about IQ.
Anyone going into Pakistan (or any other foreign country) would need a visa (and probably a Visa). So the government would have ample opportunity to set up tracking / notification / surveillance or whatever they deem appropriate. Killing or kidnapping foreigners for a SIM card seems a bit overwrought as other Slashdotters have quickly discovered several other loopholes (give a random kid $20, kid gets cell phone, kid disappears into the slums.... )
I doubt this will be terribly useful but it might help track phones to some extent.
They might have gone to Harvard, but they looked at this cheesy ad for 'The International Technical Institute', signed up for that program and now can only get a job writing Java widgets for dental clinic systems.

And we've already discussed how dangerous that can be.
Is the goal to chase away the consumers who contribute to make this site what it is?
See that bright green "SUBMIT" on the title bar. It's not a request.
It's a command.
See, progress as promised!
.. are we going to try this on turtles next?
Slashdot programmers would be my vote. That way if they screw it up, nothing of any value would be lost.
Maybe the Slashdot programmers could borrow some of this special protein and get some cortical folding going on.
Either that or just read a book on CSS.
Winsock, TCP / IP and telenet.

Check your cereal boxes.

His socks.
And just why is the QOTD 'Maybe Computer Science should be in the College of Theology"?
Maybe the computer knows something, eh?

Bah, may as well ask for a Pony.
Thought they were going to revolutionize beerkeeping.

That would be cool.
Not just 'on a truck' you unenlightened fool.
It's 3D PRINTED on a truck.
Now, that's progress. You thought we were getting flying cars. Nope, we get printed plastic forks.

USA! USA!

I work for a living. I would look at my watch at least 20-30 times a day at least as I record my activities so I can bill them to my customer.
You must not work with computers for a living - I would have the software record the time (date and elapsed for good measure) automatically.
But I'm lazy.
It does sound like a warrant canary, doesn't it?. A bit over complex and tortured, so to speak.

And catharsis is a powerful healing tool.
QED.
Right after Unicode support.
And after Beta goes live.....
We're working it!
I disagree - for the vast majority of people (at least this demographic), adult content is almost entirely 'self hosted'.

Seems pretty obvious to me.
I just hum 'Kumbaya'.
I really annoys people.
Chemical & Engineering News - they seem to offer a tad more broad-based coverage than chemical weapons.
Remember - 'Without chemicals, life would not be possible '....
