I'll be damned it I buy with my own money a device that decides where, how and in what way I watch the media I buy with my other money. Get me a DRM-Free device and I'll rush to buy it.
I agree with you on that. But, as I asked before, whom you want to try to understand the "Why"s? The goverment/police/army has plenty of people that their own job is to understand why and how.
The common man, on the other hand, shouldn't be bothered with the whys simply because it isn't his job to kill these "ants".
True, it is important to know your enemy, but it has little to do with the extreme left-political-activists who are ready to blame everyone except the actual criminals.
You should be rest-assured that the security forces and the goverment perfectly understand where are the terrorists in UK come from and there are quite enough specialists who understand the tensions with the muslims.
However, understanding-by-the-security-forces is a long way from understanding-by-mass-media. The problem is that mass media is a propoganda tool to the masses. You have some stupid news reporter spewing bullshit on day one and on day two you have millions in the streets believing it. For the masses, understanding is the first stage of compassion, sense of guilt and illogical behavior.
When you have a rape-attack the newsreporter don't go to lengths explaining what a terrible childhood the rapist had and how provocative the dress of the victim was. Sure, it'd make us understand him better but what use is it for the masses? He raped someone.
I suppose it doesn't sound too good but sadly, I see no other solution. The majority of the population can't handle ALL the aspects of the truth. You need to be selective and show your side before any others because most humans just can't grasp it all.
And at least in the 4.1 version the whole MySQL service used to crash when I tried to EXPLAIN a nested query.
But it DOES run them, I suppose:-x

True. Which would make it a fair question:
How do you feel about being used as a brand in "Alpha Centauri"?
P.S For the first few years (of innocence) I was sure that Brian designed the menus of Alpha Centauri (because that's where "designed by" appeared). Got me really confused.
P.S.S Can't wait for Brian's next game - He is about the only gaming person in the industry I truly respect (also Peter Melunuex(sp) but to a lesser degree as lately he gives way too much hype for his innovative, yet not too fun, games).

What are these other 2 games? I haven't heard of any besides FreeCiv.
And so they'd fall, in a "domino effect" if you will, one by one to the dark reign of, what will be called in future generations, "the software patent reign".
From what I understand, 4 speakers are indeed enough. But only with a *single* person.
Speaking plainly, what you do by increasing the number of speakers you increase the spot in the middle where the sound is not distorted (thus immersive).
Another issue is that while you technically can produce sound that comes from any direction with just 4 speakers, making more than one sound is a bit more tricky. Suppose you need to make it come from the NW speaker and the W one. But then, maybe with proper emulation the human ear will merge them both to NWW sound, not too sure.
Personally though, I don't feel that the audio is immersive enough in most movies... Maybe with the exception of Das Boot I didn't see any movies that truly created sound immersive scenes.
Take you original 10$ keyboard, might be even wired one. Pull out ANY KEYS and leave only the key combination you desire, there are practically countless combinations(!!!).
Now all you need is a software like Girder or any macro related application and fire your personal shooter away.
My point exactly. In many ways what they did already exists. It looks like they had a lot of talent and they wasted it on quite a strange subject... There are plenty scary subjects nowdays to cover, no need to invent ones.
What's so scary about it?? I mean, lets get a bit of a grip. People will write their own newS? Every single person will be able to contribute? Everyone will have power to contribute to everyone easily?
Microsoft might not like Linux but it will use it on the first good opportunity.
I am sure though, if that gets into the real press Micrsoft will hurry to tell how badly the OO rendered the presentation and how that projector sucked. Hell, probably the Windows machine crashed because the Linux machine was sending malicious radio waves to it.
I'd hate to offend anyone this is really just what I believe Futurama is. Shows continue if they hit the largest common dominator of the mob watching the show, sadly (aka "2 Fast 2 Furious") the common dominator is quite low.
Result: Simpsons are on their what? 10th season? Futurama was canceled after 5 seasons (and correct me if the numbers are wrong, that's not the point).
I like Simpsons as well (even if not too much) but as far as humor goes, Futurama is more witty, complicated and deep.
It is funny that "Serious Sam" that WAS planned as "engine-demo" turned out to be a great game, while the highly hyped Doom3 turned to be a fancy but not playable demo.
Now just everyone pause and think. What would people do with these 1gbit streams if there was no (illegal) downloadable content?
Sure legal content (without DRM) is also an option but since one is not available right now, we have to rely on piracy to increase the demand for bandwidth.
The spyware wars are over - and spyware has won.
Sad but true. People (including myself) are willing to sell their privacy to get free software.

I think you miss some point there.

Jetsons before Futurama??? What kind of a wicked joke is it? =\
That means that Google is going to start their own newspaper. Duh.
Err, sorry. iFlea, not iFly =\.
See it here.
P.S Might not play well on Firefox but see anyway!
Episodes? Of what? Who gave you the permission to download them?
And better don't take too long with the answer. Your time is running out.

I think some proportions are needed here.

Wouldn't it make them Slashdotted faster too?

Is there a one can try it out? It can be pretty intresting for someone living out of china to check what it is like.
:).
Some kind of chinese proxy maybe that follows the rules from the chinese goverment?
P.S Yep, it is in our blood. If we're not oppressed, than we have to know what it is like.
Which version of "Battlestar Galactica" are you talking about? The 1973 or the 2003?
