Funny... I always thought the Donkey Kong character's name was "Jumpman" and he did not acquire the Mario name until the later arcade game "Mario Bros"

That's because you didn't read the article.

They were getting the US version of Donkey Kong to launch, the arcade game. They decided to name the char Mario, after they're landlord.

Donkey Kong was released in 1981.

Mario Bros was released in 1983.

Once again, google and the wiki are your friends.

Have you tried "figuring out" how to play NHL10 without the booklet there are over 5 pages of commends in there.

Games like Final Fantasy have pages of story, character info, etc. It just gives you somthing tangible that makes your gaming experience that much better.

I don't read game manuals, most of them are an insult to anyone who's been gaming for more then a year.

How do i figure out the commands? it's called Options, Configure Controller/Keyboard

I don't need backstory, if the game doesn't have a good enough story during it to keep me interested, I'm not going to play it.

As for Ubisoft, i'm going green with their products also. As in, I'm not buying them.

Your had something bad happen to you, and while we'd all understand it if you said you wanted the person hunted down and slowly killed. But you don't. In fact, knowing the cops aren't able/going to do anything more about it, you somehow equate a information gathering website to promoting vigilantism.

Seems to me something is wrong there. Why would you want the rapists to get away? Because thats what happens when the case's go cold and the cops have to spend their time on on newer cases.

Ah, I get it. You'd have to face your attacker if the person was to be found. And that scares you. And being a selfish person, you don't want to have to do that, even it if means other peeps won't get closure.

A vigilante is someone who illegally punishes someone for perceived offenses, or participates in a group which metes out extrajudicial punishment to such a person.

It's not against the law for them to map out crimes and try to solve them. I didn't see them saying anything about hurting the people if you find them. This is information to help the police hopefully catch the rapist.

I guess you'd rather the rapist goes free, instead of having citizens help the overburden police departments with some informational work.

There's actually a lot wrong with displays these days, and the trend towards shrinking resolutions, especially with the shortscreen (16:10) and shorterscreen (16:9) fads taking off is only one of the problems. The other problem is the overwhelming majority of panels produced now are TN, meaning they have outrageously bad viewing angles and only 6-bits of colour per channel instead of 8. It wouldn't be so bad if you could actually tell what type of panel an LCD used, but the manufacturers don't list it anywhere, so it's basically impossible to tell unless you can see one in person. Good luck finding any laptop nowadays that doesn't come with a TN panel, Thinkpads and Apples included.</rant>

I have 1920x1200, 1920x1080 and a HDTV 1080p. None of them have bad viewing angles.

Of course, why you'd have a monitor as a weird view angle is sort of a mystery to me, unless it's some sort of display for other peeps, and in that case you didn't do your homework before buying it.

Now my Apple Studio 15" (1024x768) that has a bad viewing angles, need to be pretty much straight on with that. Of course, that LCD is like 10 years older then my others.

Google should just focus on the systems it wants, and not bother with apple at all.
