On an average day I drink about 8-10 cups of coffee, each made with a heaped tablespoon of powder. So, your scare statistics about 20-30 cups worth don't quite pan out.
Of course I don't sleep anymore, and had to re-type this three times to get the typos out, but hey, who's complaining...
Just wear a chainmail shirt under your clothes. The metal will conduct the charge far better than your nervous system, keeping you safe. Plus, it's fairly knife-proof too. An Aluminium chain shirt can weigh as little as 10 lbs for a t-shirt sized area, or just get a couple of pieces of butchers mail...

Your forefathers fought for your "freedoms". Some of your forefathers died for those "freedoms".
I wonder - if they had known how things were going to turn out - would they have bothered?
And what do you think the chances are of your descendant not having their little plot of moon land confiscated/compulsory purchased the second it actually becomes valuable?
"Some of that stuff takes VERY little though yellow and magenta chains grant immunity to radiation (Ok, inside joke, govt labs use yellow and magenta plastic chains to rope off radioactive areas with no other explaination leaving you wondering what the actual contamination is from. Nothing like a 2 foot square hole in the hall in front of your office with one of those chains around the very edge of the hole)."

Right, now add the above concept with the mental-control system from yesterday.

RIAA and its lawsuits are like the thrashings of a dying behemoth - lashing out at anything it can reach in its death throes.
The days of the recording industries controlling the whole chain between artist and listener are over. There are other viable models of supply now - ones that allow people to listen to the music they like rather than buying 8 tracks of filler to get the three they want.
I really hope that the whole lawsuit issue blows up in RIAA's face, and that the resulting court fees are the final nail in their members' financial coffin. Jos

Great, so now we have to worry about cash-strapped government departments selling our personal data to spammers too.
And that's gonna do what exactly?
I mean it's not as if the federal agencies actually _listen_ to their Commander-in-Chief now is it.
It's like expecting Mi5 over here to alter their operating procedures just cos' of a little thing like a change of government.
Though whoever gets in has got to be more left-wing than our current supposedly "socialist" dictat^H^H^H government.

My personal favourite - Brian: "You are all individuals" Crowd: "We are all individuals my lord" Lone voice from the back: "No I'm not!"
Me: "I fancy a fish finger sandwich"
Fridge: "Your fish fingers are 3 days out of date."
Me: "Why won't the microwave open?"
Microwave: "Those fish fingers are 3 days out of date. I'm not having them in here"
Me: "Open the microwave door, HAL..."
Oh I believe he's doing a bang-up job of that himself without any help.

It's called the Earth. Why do you think we're unable to live in peace with each other. Earth is one big arena to our Space Robot Overlords...
