    The licensing change can be done only on paper. You might run into problems with WGA and microsoft update though, but that can be avoided altogether with a software update server (and never installing WGA).

    Transparent proxy. Steal all their passwords. Even read their email. Why not, they probably won't even know. Stealing unsecured wireless puts both parties at risk you know.

    Don't partnerships cover only resellers and software houses? And you have several quotas to meet to retain your partner status. And it only covers (duh) Microsoft software. How about your CAD tools, financial software, miscellaneous stuff, Photoshop, antivirus, etc etc?

    This is just like cable tv. First you pay for ad-free tv, then then advertisers pay to dump ads on you. Then you pay more for the next tier of ad-free tv and they pay more again, just to dump ads on you again.

    Doing almost nothing? You've never seen Navision, the product in question here. It's not trivial to customize and configure, and that's where Microsoft needs the MCPs to step in, instead of doing direct selling to their customers.

    Why should authors get paid better rates on audio books? The consumer perceives the cost increase as covering the price of the recording studio, technicians, the guy that actually does the reading, you know, labor-intensive stuff. The author doesn't expend any extra effort getting the book out on audio. This is just greed, plain and simple.

    This only prevents pdfs from opening automatically within the browser window. The registry is in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, which is administrator-only access, and let's face it, if you need to open the pdf, you open the pdf. Only later do you find out it's borked.
