MS destroyed the Battletech franchise. Mechassault and its sequel were mediocre at best, and their attempts to replicate the past successes on the PC failed even more spectacularly.

Dungeons in Hibernia were itemized the last of the three realms, and classes were not balanced, even up to 6 months after launch.

I never saw two realms cooperating against the dominant realm, ever. Actually I never saw anything except Albion and Midguard picking on the easiest target, Hibernia.

I have yet to see a game with XP loss to deaths quite as brutal as FFXI, considering how slow xp gain is, not to mention you can't get the xp back except in a full group of the right composition of classes.

And you get to level down if you die enough times in a level.

A trained monkey could play it yes, he'd just be at level 1 for all eternity. What MMORPG then can't be played by a trained monkey by this rationale?

They used to cost $10 - $20 a piece back in the day of 4x SCSI Plextor and Yamaha CDR Drives. Having to switch all your CDs into 1 or if you were lucky 2 caddies that you owned was a hassle, and in effect caused more wear and tear on your CDs.

If they managed to produce low cost CD Caddies, say in the $0.50 to $1.00 a piece range,so that you could realistically keep your frequently used CDs if not all your CDs in their caddies and store those instead of the bare media.

We would probably all be using them still.
