I believe that he's Transliterating WWW as Vav-Vav-Vav, which would, be 6-6-6 (six six six, rather than 6 hundred sixty six.)
Anyways, noone uses Vav Vav Vav as WWW, noone. Just some conspiracy theory.
Well being as how most of the programming/backend behind Netscape vs. Mozilla/FF is the same, wouldn't all you need is a UserAgent Switcher and then you wouldn't have ANY problems at all, and could still be using Mozilla/FF? I mean if the site works with Netscape it's bound to work with Mozilla, just not know it.
Are they counting by size of file? Or maybe they are including all the.r00,.r01,.r02 files as SEPERATE files, but I don't see this as completely right.
Does the RIAA have THAT MANY people voting? I mean, you'd think that thered be enough people voting against him in the election.... Unless of course his opponent is the same, in which case the new boss is the same as the old boss.
Not to jump on the bandwagon, but the service plan has really been helpful with my MP3 CD player... I bought one 4 years ago, got a 2 year service plan with it. After (almost) 2 years, it was really getting old and buttons werent working, etc. I brought it back, they didnt even check to see what was broken, just took it and gave me $200 (thats how much they cost BACK THEN) to spend in the store. The MP3 players 2 years after that were only about $130, so I had 70 bucks to play with. Of course, I bought some crap I needed for my PC. No problems there! 1 Year Later, the new MP3 Player breaks again (it fell). Again, I bring it back, no questions, I get the money back and as usual, the price of an MP3 CD Player falls, and I get money to play with. Needless to say, I then returned that one after a year (about a month ago) to get a newer, cheaper model, and get shit I needed for my PC. So in all, the PSP really worked out for me.
Also, yet another article about Secunia, very interesting: http://www.internetnews.com/dev-news/print.php/217 0381
It seems they have a very "free as in freedom" view on security, etc. "We believe that security information should be free, so that administrators can patch their systems and software developers can learn from the mistakes made by others. All the security researchers and experts who posts to Full-Disclosure, VulnWatch and Secunia wants their research to be free and available we owe them that much," Kristensen declared.
...and everyone says that Microsoft is paying Secunia to do this, etc. (like with AdTI, though AdTI really is getting funding from MSFT, different story), read this: http://www.linuxinsider.com/story/32370.html
It seems that it was Secunia which released lots of IE bugs, and that Microsoft has had scuffles with them before. Unless someone here has evidence that they got funding from MSFT since then, don't say that.

If I could buy an iPod for $100, I would.... hell I would buy one for $120! And lord knows the people on eBay go for more than that, so whats the point?
Duplicate.
Anyways: I like how it looks, but it seems to be maybe getting a bit bloated? I mean... I guess maybe they can pull it off (OSX is so damn smooth!), but still.... WAY too many things crammed onto my screen = bad.
What will happen when low-cost labor in China is combined with Microsoft technologies?
Even higher priced Microsoft technologies?
MS Assistant: Well sir, it costs us 60% less in labor to make these in China.
Bill Gates: *excellent....* Have them raise the price by 60%!
MS Assistant: But sir... it costs LESS to make it!
Gates: DO NOT QUESTION ME, UNDERLING!!
I got my invite a while back, a couple weeks. I've since given out (for free, of course) over 25 invites. Had I sold all of them, in hindsight I see, I could have made more than $200, perhaps much more in how they were selling back then. But I'm a nice guy. I say keep Gmail free.
I couldn't accept incoming calls, I kept getting a busy signal, but I got my email (the article writer didn't) and even made a few calls. Quality was fairly good, and there was only a delay of a a second or so.

I'm not. I'm pushing Qute. Qute looks perfect. It's natural to both users of IE and those who aren't. Thats what we need. Not something thats only natural to those who aren't. Hell, not something that's downright ugly and noone likes.

First off: That's not the new skin: This is.
Second:Exactly. You have been using this skin. You know how to change a skin. Hell, you know what a skin is. You are also a reader of slashdot. That already means that you most likely are an advanced computer user, prolly use linux at times, and etc. Most people aren't. The people who we want to convert from MSIE don't like change. They don't want to go into the skinning thing and get a new skin. It's too complicated. First impressions are also crucial, and most "new users" would see this new skin as alien to them, and they won't want to go through the trouble of changing it, and will just slump back to IE. Just my take on things.

Qute was a great Default theme. It looked great as a default theme, and really made switchers from IE feel comfortable. This new theme just doesnt fit in Windows or Linux... it looks good for OSX, but just not in other OSes.
Can it go through a stargate and feed back the information through an open wormhole?
I'll get modded down for this, but just as a tip, the word is "hock".
That's just scary... and crazy. I can't believe it.

Well... by backing Moore in this, I guess it makes alot of people like them... and then get their name out. They aren't a huge company, I don't think.
