    Rags should make ad-free, for pay, RSS feeds of NY Times, Wall Street Journal, etc. Make it deliverd to Blackberries and cellphones. The cheap distribution costs make it financially possible to cut down on ads.

    Please read my other comments in which I express displeasure for this law. The issue I had was with the way the submitter spun the story.

    The key phrase, "spy on law-abiding citizens", is what spins this otherwise factual statement to the subjective.

    With this added tid-bit, the reader can only conclude that this is a law to legalize CIA & FBI peeping Tom's. I'm pretty sure the intent is to spy on citizens that are potentially NOT abiding by the law.

    While I don't agree with this law, I do have a problem with spinning the reporting to match my political group-think.

    The Washington Post is reporting the next phase of American progress authorizing intelligence agencies to spy on law-abiding citizens without oversight.

    How is it possible to carry on a rational, rhetoric-free debate when even the summary is riddled with such a subjective premise?

    What OS's out there support a breadth and depth of P&P devices comparable to Windows?

    I've run Windows, FreeBSD, and now Mac OS X. I love my Mac, but there is no denying that Windows is the market leader when it comes to perrefrials.

    Where you got the arbitrary quantity '3' necessary to qualify my statement, I'll never know.
    This is all so subjective that I can't believe I'm dignifying this with a response.

    Wal-Mart - gives out lots of earnings to good works, seems to treat its emplyees fairly
    Oreck Co. - just google for how much they helped their employees, post-Katrina
    Apple - gave us OS X and the iPod, how evil is that?

    These are just off the top of my head. Sure, you may not AGREE with everything they do or how they compete, but on the whole they treat their customer's and employees fairly. I'm sure you can add to this list with very little effort.

    Sharp criticism for this product inspired Sony to offer $sys$CounterAttack, $sys$Peekaboo, and $sys$Shields to private induhviduals and security experts.

    A $sys$spokes-person for Sony, who wishes to remain anonymous, says these products are the precurser to the $sith$ branded products that will ensure peace and justice in the galaxy.

    Microsoft knows a good thing when it sees it. I'm seeing a pattern here.*
    1. Netscape - lets bundle IE!
    2. Java - lets bundle .NET
    3. RealPlayer - lets bundle Win Media Player
    4. Gator/Claria - lets bundle WindAads (kinda catchy :-)

    *Disclaimer: I'm not against OS vendors bundling stuff. IE was better than Netscape, .NET is just fine, and RealPlayer was junky.

    Neat. I never realized I have always done a quick mouse move to the bottom, followed by a slight move up to select a program in the taskbar. It has just become second nature to me from years of using windows. I recently switched to Mac this summer, and just discovered I was doing this same un-necessary targeting action with the Mac menu bar (top instead of bottom of course). Reminds me of the story about 'Johnny Crow' who was tied to the post so long that he didn't try to fly after being set free. :-)
