I missed the bit about the stars representing the lost crew. That's an excellent touch. I was thinking #3 with the shuttles in a 'missing man' formation would be the best, but maybe not necessary since the stars already do that.
Hah, finally another person that learned typing from MUDs. I did the same... I was a hunt'n'peck typer, but in the early days of MUDs before all the fancy clients it was necessary to type much much faster. I simply forced myself to play by typing the right way. Died frequently at first, but I improved rapidly.
Yes... and the Jim Henson company is owned by Disney. I'd looooooove to see a comeback of the Muppets. However, Jim Henson _was_ the Muppets... not easily replaced.:(
Good lord... just put the phone down until you have time to deal with it (ie., while not driving). The lack of a an instantaneous response should tell whoever messaged you that you AREN'T AVAILABLE - do you really need to text 'lol I'm driving' for them to get the hint?
And more to the point, why would anyone else use it if even Microsoft won't.
Microsoft doesn't use MS Visual SourceSafe for some/many/most of their projects supposedly (I have no links handy to back it up), they use a customized version of Perforce.
The problem is that the media is portraying this as FUD, not as the betterment of science/spaceflight/etc. The only reason it is getting press is because it is 'shock news' - granted, in this case it was a success, but it is just a platform for them to spring from when something else goes wrong down the line. I enjoy things like this getting press, I just don't want to to be because they can say things like 'disaster averted'.
Try putting the not-as-commonly-needed plugins in the 'optional' directory instead. I believe I read they will load on-demand instead of loading always (and they won't be completely disabled as they will be by making a 'disabled' folder).
The difference, of course, is that the PSP is first and foremost a gaming console that also happens to have lots of nifty PDA-like features. Your gadget is first and foremost a PDA that also happens to play some basic games. Different target audiences.
I'm not the only one complaining about this and I 'm still waiting for a fix. (amd64 3200+, 1 gb ram)
Interesting. On my Athlon 933Mhz, 512mb ram, I haven't seen such an issue. I'll trade systems with you, and the problem should be resolved!
If you're going to get distracted, you're going to get distracted. It doesn't matter if it is the computer sitting in front of you, or the sun shining brightly outside drawing you to the pool/gym/field, or the fresh powder drawing you away for a weekend of snowboarding. Heck, if you are the type that is going to procastinate, you'll stare at the walls if nothing else. The computer is an excuse, not a reason.
"first time I've heard Rush" I feel so old now.

1 in 250,000 is metric. Clearly the summary was converting to imperial units for those of us in the US.

That poor Anonymous Coward guy would be broke in a hurry.
You're calling 'Dolphin' a stupid codename after they recently rename their upcoming retail product 'Wii'?

Okay... will contact you in about a year...
I never felt quite so old as when I had to read the parent post, explaining what Pigs in Space is.
So then... it is hard to capitalize sentences when using Dvorak is what you're saying?
Wouldn't using something that isn't classifed as 'unsupported and obsolete' automatically count as enough of an advantage?
lol, I just got side-swiped by a semi!
Go forth and multiply...? Sounds like making backups to me. Sure, sure, they were talking about DNA backups, but UMD discs hadn't been invented yet.

I feel very old if people today consider that an "obscure" reference :(
I thought that was called Scooby Doo?
What is proof? There seems to be '80' of it in this bottle of vodka next to me. A few more hits, and I sure as heck won't care what proof is.

It is pretty easy to recover any lost porn from places like usenet. No need to back up those pictures!
It's not stealing, it's copyright infringement. How many times must we go over this. Oh, wait...
What type of /.'er are you!? Don't you know that should read "Just imagine a beowolf cluster of 4'10" Chinese Predators"?
