those "tourist" type of space journal just doesnot make sense from science part, can he build a factory in space to produce some special crystal, do medical or other research?
a few weeks ago there was a deal about dell dimension 8400 with p4 3G HT, 1G DDR2, ati x800xt video card for less than $1100 after 15% coupon and mail in rebate.
I wonder if anybody who bought that system ever got any problem for stability?
there's very little quality loss for tv capture card, yes, there's quality loss, but if you use the right software, it's not visible.
actually the cheap ati tv tuner card works pretty well with some 3rd party software, also you can make it record realtime into VCD format(some hack is neede) or just DVD mpeg2 stream. it's real time, so no further transformation is needed.
well, it's analog, so it's not "perfect", but it's good enough, I made some of my own, not top quality since I didnot tweak it well enough but still very good quality, my friend is really into it, he actually captures stuff from his TIVO into computer, so that he can back things up.
I dont know if there's any hack to get stuff out of the tivo into a pc, I think there might be, otherwise, it's best just to use tv tuner card.
and I dont really record stuff through tivo, if you want to watch a show, some one already record it off his own digital network and you can get it through P2P.:D

they showed how they survived DDOS attack by using various platform and causing themselves trouble, but they failed to demonstrate that they can't do that without various platform, actually, that's doable.
a tv tuner card on pc can do much better than tivo, not to mention you have the ability to burn them on CDR, or burn them to DVDR, even DVD( on DVDR) and archive them.:D

vehicle/turret manipulation and team work (flag, ball game, onslaught) create a lot more gameplay than simplying DM
but I have to admit some time it's still 1 vs 1 in many of those new game types. it's still very different to die so that others can get to one powernode to gain the ground, than simply increase frag by 1
is that impacted by internet at all? since for LOTR3, I watched it 3 times in theatre and bought the DVD, waiting for the extended edition of the DVD as well.

actually there was DVD image out before the retail DVD releases, before dual layer DVDR gets popular, it has to be burned on 2 DVDs.
computer can do all those you mentioned, as long as you "program" it to do so.

well, I'd rather play team based CS or ONS on UT2004. DM gets me so bored.
