A Proxy AutoConfig (PAC) script is well suited for this task:
function FindProxyForURL(url, host) { if (shExpMatch(url, "*http://*.google.*")) return "SOCKS 127.0.0.1:9050";//Proxy here else return "DIRECT"; }
Place the above in a text file, and set it as the automatic proxy config file for your web browser (for Firefox users, Preferences>General>Connection Settings).
The matching string *http://*.google.*" should be used instead of http://.google.com/* as a foreign proxy will cause Google to redirect you to its respected cctld.
Of course, VeriChips are for medical use only. This will be introduced as optional and quickly become as voluntary as credit cards, drivers licenses, and cell phones. Sure, you can opt-out of these, but you will never be accepted at a job that requires them.
I'll explain:
"success=1" Both names were found.
"score1=533" Score of the first name
"score2=213" Score of the second name
"height1=99" How high to make the graph of user1
"height2=39" How high to make the graph of user2
I do not have a problem with OOL capping their users. What I do have a problem with is making the limits invisible.
I have some relatives up in the New Jersey area. They generally run Bit Torrent all night, at a full 100Kbps (On non-standard ports). The one time they upload some pictures to one of my servers via FTP on port 20, they get capped. I'm agreeing with the Anonymous Coward here, OOL's capping system seems to be designed for preventing users from running servers.
I will give OOL this though, uncapping is a painless procedure.
OptimumOnline caps their customer's upload throughput at 150kbit/s for uploading "too much". They don't even tell you what "too much" is. Their normal caps are rather generous at 10mbit/1mbit, but what's the point if you can't actually use it?
Get a machine with two NICs and connect both as a bridge between your clusters of machines. Install Linux and use this as a guide.
Add an additional NIC if you want to be able to login to the box remotely.
This is a civil suit, not a criminal charge. Grokster would be expected to prove they were not promoting the ability to infringe on copyrights.
the plaintiff will have to prove that you wanted the software to be used for copyright infringement
No, they only have to prove you promoted the ability for copyright infringement. A side remark in a press release or a blog post on your website could all be considered promotion.
From the Court's decision: "Finally, there is no evidence that either company made an effort to filter copyrighted material from users' downloads or otherwise impede the sharing of copyrighted files."
Most of us around here didn't even know the city had free WiFi. They didn't bother to tell us. I guess the city assumed we would figure it out and advertise it for ourselves?
In about:config set the following (assuming you have 32MB of ram to spare)
browser.cache.disk.capacity 0
browser.cache.disk.enable false
browser.cache.memory.capacity 32768
browser.cache.memory.enable true
This sets Firefox to store the cache data in RAM, not on your harddrive. Works about as well as Opera.
"the new development would make nonvolatile memory chips with a capacity of 32 Gigabit possible within a few years. That is eight times the capacity of what is currently available in the market." Did CIOL mean Gigabyte? 32/8=4 Gbytes, 4GB cards have been on the market for a while.

Here you go.
Go to your User Preferences > Customize Stories on the Homepage > Authors, and uncheck "Zonk" or any other editors you wish to ignore.

The price tag is $49,999. They only expect to sell about five this year.

Just plug in the screen names.
