    Code can be art, to some extent. How about the demo scene? Code, music and graphics combined to produce art. The point is that if You generate real time or still graphics and music with code, it is still art.

    In Finland it's legal to download movies and music (but the law changes soon), but not programs.

    Isn't Native Command Queuing just the same thing? It's now on ATA disks, too, but all chipsets doesn't support it.

    Wasn't GLQuake released more for the 3Dfx Voodoo cards?
    True, but later everyone got accelerated Quake , not only 3DFX chip owners.

    I watched Hawks version a moment ago (yes, illegal copy, but i will buy the dvd) and noticed that they didn't even fully translate several important dialogues (between Aramaki and Togusa) or kanjis (Kim's room).

    The movie was just awesome, I even wrote down the quotes and will ponder them later on ^__^

    I agree on that, the movie's so psychologically twisted that your whole life changes after watching it:). OTOH, best stand alone movie (not based on tv series) is probably Nausicaë or Ghost In the Shell.

    I had a crappy connection with my laptop and gprs cellphone when i was doing my service (9 months), but I also could have been fine without them. I know no one who suffers/suffered from net addiction.

    Then why not use Debian testing? It doesn't break that often and is relatively new.

    I haven't seen the movie yet, only trailers and they look good. In GITS 1, Stand Alone Complex and manga i liked the sociological, political and philosophical depth, so i guess i will like Innocence as well.

    Somehow i knew this would happen, that EU will follow U.S., and even make the same mistakes. I'm not too proud about living in Finland, EU. As a coder and computer science student i like that information should be free.
