Of course I'm not serious. I realize that allowing gay-rights activists also means they're going to be percieved as censors if they don't allow some version of the KKK or GNAA. I do think they're going a little too far when they attack a non-inflamatory group, though.
"So do you also think that Blizzard should be fine with a whites-only guild?"
Of course not. The whole point is that there should be no mention of any real-world issues that could be disagreed upon in the game. I mean, this is a community spanning millions of subscribers, all intent on reaching their next level, not a group of humans who want to discuss real-world issues. They're not MMOing because they want to interact with people, it's just the immersive leveling system that draws them in.
MUDs and online forums are the modern roleplayer's only online options. Because some are populated by under a dozen people at peak, MUDs are great for a small roleplaying community.
It's really a sensitive topic. It'd be like having a guild comprised of black or black-friendly people. It would prompt political debate on whether or not black people should be able to live without asshole rednecks declaring jihads on their asses. Same thing with gays. And, really, who wants an argument?
Sir, I don't take stuff that doesn't belong to me. I go by my morals, and my morals say that a giant record company screwing over musicians is much worse than me not supporting the record company by buying CDs.
Now, I realize it's different with the software industry, but games are too expensive for me to blow all my money on. They're still making a huge amount of money, and I'm still buying games now and then. Maybe they should stop complaining that they're not making enough money for doing nothing.
The price of the Nintendo DS (A bit more than the cost of two new XBOX 360 games) was a major factor in me getting mine. I'd never buy a new PSP over a DS for two reasons: the screen is unprotected and I've heard they've had hardware problems with dead pixels and a slightly unresponsive button. Plus, hey, let's be honest, they're hella expensive.
I got a DS recently, and while I understand your tightwad arguments, it's well worth the money. Mario Kart DS is a blast, you can play GBA games, there's wireless multiplayer...
While I'd classify myself in the cheap gamer category, if mine got lost or stolen, I have to say, I would fork over the $130 again. It's just an unbeatable price for the best, and best working, handheld on the market today. And the games are comparatively cheap, too. ($20-35, new)
To me, it's the same question we have to ask about the music industry: How can we pay the talented creators of the content, but bypass the middleman who charges the absorbitant fees unfairly?
How can I pay the programmers, the artists, and the musicians, but avoid paying the guys who make the cardboard and ship it to the shelf? If it took twenty people to make an average game, and we were to pay each of them just $0.50, or ten dollars a game, and it sold 500,000 copies, then couldn't we have a lot more quality games for a lot less, and still pay each member of the development team $250,000 each, per game? That sounds like a way to support the industry to me.
I mean, I'm willing to listen to reason, so if anybody wants to tell me why pirating in the current economy is wrong, and argue for the pointless marketting, packaging, and shipping costs, I want to hear your reasons.
What are you talking about? They haven't built anything up. All they've done is deny anything anybody suggests, asks, or speculates about their console. We've built up the hype all by ourselves.
You're just holding it wrong. What you need to do is rest the bottom two corners on your palms so that your hands are sticking out to the sides a little, and then you should be able to reach the shoulder buttons just fine from an angle. I'm not sure how this would work with smaller hands, though.

How about this one?
Well sure you're capable... but they're just so interesting!
Wait. Those aren't lies...
It would take the average user 2.37 hours to discover emulators.
Can't compete with the GBA remakes and Revolution, can we?
DS games go into a low-power pause mode when you flip it closed, but GBA games stay on. I don't know if it's hardware or programmed into the DS games.
I just wish Nintendo didn't produce such great products so I could count on my DS breaking with regular use so that I could justify the new model.
Family Guy 1/2?
It's like Star Trek, but with more Civil War-type uniforms. Kinda.
I've only watched the first episode or two. I wasn't impressed.
Whew! Now I won't feel so bad about not washing my hands when I use the bathroom!
...thus proving that Intelligent Design is real.
I'm glad we got that over with. Who wants to call the school board?

What, so Iraq can't have nuclear weapons, but the Chinese can have their own Sun!?
If we were in a video game I would shoot you.
Wait, are you guys serious?
How do you clean a toilet?
"PA's charity is nothing to scoff at, yes, but the Moose Lodge in my town does about twice as much charitable work."
Wow. Your Moose Lodge raised over a million dollars for charity last Christmas? Impressive.

Yup. It'll just get counterfeited. There will be fake symbol-usage-rights being sold out of cheap car trunks by shady-looking chinese guys.
