It was the first lesson my father taught me when I learnt how to use a gun. Anything else is just a television fantasy.

I've no gripe with owning a gun and using it for defence, but please don't kid yourself into thinking that a rifle will be less likely to kill.

The Max Payne writing drew heavily upon the books and style of Raymond Chandler. The witty retorts, the overlly elaborate metaphors, the dark ambience and emotionally wounded characters etc, etc.

It concerns me that this isn't acknowledged in any way. I enjoyed the game, but I knew when I played it, that I was playing a tribute to a great author.

Chandler deserves the credit for the style.

Oh yes you do have a problem with homosexuals, a huge problem with them. You don't think that they're entitled to marriage or respect. You've already recently insulted them and made gross discriminatory generalisations against them. You're a hateful uneducated coward, and you imitate your betters.

You probably think you're terribly clever by your vague and overally verbose prejudices. Go and get an education. Even at the very least a theology degree would make your fundamentalist prejudices a bit more interesting. Judging from you site, a web design course wouldn't harm you either.

You've frothed things like "they sure publically portray a sense of entitlement and arrogance that puts the 15th century crusaders to shame. Just look at the "they have it so we should too" rallying cry. Shear unadulterated and spoiled selfishness.

You've further said in your journal that homosexuals wish to be finacially subsidised by the government and that they parallel an Orwellian conspiracy. Of course, that's in between your embarasingly uninformed musings on Genesis.

I have two university degrees, and so am indeed educated by any standard. What university would put up with your knuckle dragging? None unless the Hitler Youth are branching out.

The only reason why you're not heavily moderated is that you've hidden your prejudice in lines and lines of overally verbose froth. Grow up.

People like you "On Lawn" merely immitate educated people. Unfortunately your ignorant views give you away rather easily. It doesn't even matter if you post annoymously it's plain who you are.

Discrimination against people because of their race, creed, religion or sexual preference is just plain passe nowadays. People much greater than a cliched worm like you were and are gay. Alan Turing for instance, the founder of modern computing, Artificial Intelligence and cryptography- A man that pioneered the field. Or perhaps Abraham Lincoln, one of the greatest and most admired Presidents who held the Union together and abolished slavery (to verify this, read his diaries and letters). Also Leonardo DaVinci, the artist and inventor who invented things that you yourself enjoy every single day.

Bigots like your good self oppose homosexuals for one of two reasons:
1 - you are one youself but fear your urges. There's been a great deal of sociological writing on this issue.
    Or
2- You belong to a group that benefits from the persecution of minorities. fundmaentalist Christians, Neo-Nazis, KKK members etc. They all have this in common, in that they define themselves by who they persecute. Of course, a great deal of these types also fall into the first category. Of course they conviniently forget that Jesus was a Jew, and that Paul the Apostle was gay.

You do indeed care what homosexuals do in their bedroom, as you're intent on slandering them. Homosexuals are entitled to the same privelleges and rights as anyone else is. whether you like it or not, your antequated bigotry really doesn't belong on an intellectual newsgroup for Nerds. Something you obviously pathetically aspire to.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." - Ring any bells? No, I thought not.

So next time you're using your computer that a GAY pioneered, or driving a car that yet another GAY invented, or living in the UNITED states of America, don't forget to thank the Gay men that made it all possible for you.
