I thought I'd stuffed up big time when I hooked all of our users (around 1000 users at the time) up to test market prices rather than live data (Australian Stock Exchange) over market opening one morning (our product is aimed at day traders too).
My stuff up seems minor in comparison to this.
I feel the same way about Cyber Bullying. It's just bullying, nothing cyber about it (except for the fact of the person being bullied can just turn off the computer).
Already been done and Conroy has already admitted to it. Still hasn't stopped him trying to push it ahead. He's still saying that it'll block around 300 CP websites (out of how many sites on the web?).
I recently sent some DVD's and I bought some boxes for $1.40 each and then $1.10 in postage (So $2.50 in total). That was just from an Australia Post Shop.
But where did all the cheap non wide-screen monitors go? You used to be able to pick up a nice 1280x1024 screen at a decent price, but now, it's all about wide-screen in the lower price bracket.
It's what I started on, and learning the fundementals such as if/else, do/while, variables, arrays, etc will give you a massive head start on any programming course in the future. It's so simple that when you look at code it's not so complex that it will scare you off, and easy enough to just start hacking around (even the good old:-
10 PRINT "HELLO WORLD"
20 GOTO 10
is quite valuable).
That said, it's not really worth while learning all the ins and outs of the language as anything real world (even *shudder* Visual Basic) will be quite different.
I remember seeing a trailer for this a couple of years ago. I assumed it had already come out without any hype around it. I guess like most games, they've released a trailer way too early. I think it hurts sales doing this too. Build up hype, people get excited assuming it's coming out soon, then something else comes out in the mean time and then you're over the hype. Seems to doubly apply to MMO's. At least to me anyway. Was super pumped for Jumpgate, now I'm not sure if I'll get it or not.
For Java & PHP development, Eclipse. Does everything I need it to.
For Windows C++ development, VS2008. Work in a MS shop, so not much choice here.
Mac Objective-C development, Xcode. Not much choice with this due to nib's being so intergrated with the code.
This is getting like the old 3D Mark pissing competition that was around a few years ago. I just hope it's being implemented properly, and not using some "optimisations" just for that page.

You never know, maybe he had it coming. I'm curious to see what he did to deserve this kind of response.
Isn't Gmail the same. And yes I use Gmail. That said, I trust Google more than Facebook.

Yes, because that worked out so well for Netscape.
There's somebody on /. that hasn't seen that comic?!?!
Emirates does this already. The resolution is fairly low though.
Isn't this the first proper test of GPL in a court of law?
Rainbows? I hate those friggen things.
As long as it's not like the blimp they tried to use on Top Gear. Big plans, didn't really go so well (winds being quite nasty for them).
Those paper cuts can be pretty nasty sometimes.

Woooooosh!

Happens to every Windows box at my office too when copying large files (or lots of little ones).
You're going to Bangkok?
I believe that's trademarks, not patents

Interesting/Humorous Video from May about it:- http://www.from-the-couch.com/post.cfm/title/seacom-conference
Don't HAVE to use Nibs, but you'd be mad not to. It cuts the development time quite significantly. At least for the small projects I work on anyway.

Any smart keylogger will look at the raw text behind any password field on a website. Cut and Paste etc would be useless.
