Say my email address I registered was hello.world@gmail.com. I indeed get the mail if it was sent to helloworld@gmail.com (without the dots). But the mail is put in the "All Mail" box, and doesnt show up in the "inbox".

Is there any way to automatically show it in the inbox or do I have to create filters for each possible combination?

Christopher Eccleston plays the Doctor for only 1 season. Then, (iirc) in the end of the season he dies and a new Doctor is born using the power of the TARDIS, the only thing is.. he has a new face.

I thought it was kinda lame to replace a character like that, and that just after only 1 season. but I guess its better than having just replace the character suddenly, thinking that the viewers wont notice anything different..

I was really hooked on the first season, but after this little change I kinda lost interest. I heard season 2 has already started airing, anyone know if the newest Who is any good?

  5. ROCBIT 3 - USB ENCRYPTED EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES on The Best of Macworld SF 2006 · · Score: 1

Real time hardware encryption/decryption sounds nice. But from the looks of it, it uses an USB key (you get two) that is used to access your drive. (correct me if i'm wrong, i just briefly browsed their site)

But what if you loose your keys, or somebody just steals your key?

Wouldn't it be alot nicer if you could just set the HDD password in your OS and when you try accessing it it would popup a password screen asking for ze password. Just like Encrypted Disk images in OS X or TrueCrypt on Windows.

Even better would be integration with Keychain Access in Mac OS X. imagine automatically locking the drive when you are away for 5 minutes or automatically have access to the drive when you login with your user account.

I used to use aMSN on Mac OS X until I got tired of the resource hog/slowness of it.
Now I use Adium, which is pretty fast and doesnt hog all my precious resources.

This is probably because aMSN is written in Tcl/Tk though and Adium is written in the native Cocoa language and has Gaim as its core which is written in C.
Still I hope one day Adium gets most of the advanced features that aMSN has now, like webcam support.

  18. 3rd Strike released way too late for the consoles on Capcom May Be Prepping Street Fighter 4 · · Score: 2, Interesting

I remember playing SFIII:Third Strike on a holiday for the first time on an arcade machine when I was little.

I only had the chance to play it once, but I was amazed by the fast framerate and the graphics I saw and the funky music and sound I heard on that machine. It was really a improvement over the older Street Fighters and other 2d fighting games that time.
Too bad they never had this game near my local arcade halls. :(

Since ever that time, I wanted to expierence it on my Playstation1 but it wasnt released for any consoles yet, so I bought SF3 Alpha instead when it came out, which was nice too but different than 3rd Strike and the long loading times really sucked the fun out of it.

Then 3rd Strike was released for the Dreamcast launch, but I bought a PS2 instead. It literally took Capcom alot of years but they finally managed to release it for the PS2 and Xbox as well now..

So I bought the Xbox version, but when I played it it was nothing like the arcade expierence I used to remember :(
Probably because they were like 6 years too late releasing it!! Now i'm more into Virtua Fighter 4.

Altho Disk Utility on OS X can create encrypted disk images, it only has one encryption method which is AES-128.
(prove me wrong here, but i've search many times on google to see if other encryption methods were available)

I once created a 4 GB encrypted sparse disk image, but copying large files to it will always result in an inresponsive OS on my 867MHz G4.

Maybe a fixed sized image will work better, but what I really want is support for other encryption algorythms so the user can make the trade-off between speed and security/paranoid level. I for one would not mind encrypting a disk with Blowfish only.

On Windows I use TrueCrypt, I can't wait to see an OS X port of that (and other platforms ofcourse ;)
