Why? The rest of the world doesn't care what state things are in. I have yet to hear anyone describe a US city with the state name, with the exception of American commentators at the Winter Olympics.
The bitrates mentioned before were MP3 bitrates. a 128kb/s AAC is roughly equivalent to a 192kb/s MP3.
Try comparing the bitrates with MP3. If you want to *really* hear the difference, find something which uses one of MP3s weak points (I think white noise is the main one, so something with flute for example would work quite well for this).
So you're the guy who's blocked off my state from the internet?;)
I'm just a bit annoyed that I can hardly get any work done since the new filter came in. Every site not on its own domain name (2nd level), or hosted at a uni gets blocked. Anything which is decided could be bad gets blocked. I've had to throw out an entire project because genetic modification to brewers' yeast isn't allowed past the filter (alcohol). Google Cache? Nope. Wayback machine? Not allowed either.
At least I'm allowed to use Opera off of my iPod...the IT people aren't too bad, they just blame the Education Department.
It gets better. At my school now, they make the bells 5 minutes later because if you don't know what time it is and get to class on your own you won't be able to when you leave school. They also plan on getting rid of bells entirely.
I eagerly wait for the day when 5-year-olds are forced to wear suits:)
If I recall correctly there was something that we do instinctively which is inhibited by the alcohol which causes much more danger. This is why the sober driver is less likely to survive.
Well actually, the reason that they don't include them anymore is most likely that almost all of their customers are using a PC, and aren't going to use the firewire cable. So why supply it when it can be sold for extra?
They're still around...much of the country still hates the Detention Centers though (to my knowledge). You're right though, they've been a bit quiet lately...
They keep people in there long enough that children are born in there and don't get out until they're already school-age. Not very nice, to say the least.
If that's a problem then why not just raise the minimum age? Just a bit hard to believe when you're in a country that doesn't have different laws for people who have different levels of education...
Over here in Australia the government tries to *help* dropouts get work, not the other way around.
That's nothing new...I had to do Japanese since I was in Reception (1st-grade I think it is over in the US). This is in Australia. I kept going until last year (Year 10 (== Third year of high school)) and it's very interesting to learn another language, lots of interesting culture to go with it.
However after my experience with Japanese, I wouldn't wish Mandarin on anyone:)
I've never understood why people always have to have earphones loud enough that people can hear them from meters away. I can't hear mine (outside my ear, pointed towards the ear) until I'm within 10cm or usually even closer.
Well to be fair, running an MMPORG is much more complicated than just making the content. There's ongoing costs (huge numbers of servers need admins, power, buildings, bandwidth, etc.).
I think you're thinking of Reflections on Trusting Trust by Ken Thompson.
Aging is a disease, one that can be fought. It is speculated that if you can live 30 more years, you can live forever.
But would you want to?
Why? The rest of the world doesn't care what state things are in. I have yet to hear anyone describe a US city with the state name, with the exception of American commentators at the Winter Olympics.
Encryption? Encryption is easy to do, no problems there.
The 3210 has 2 faults (1 of which the 6210 corrects); it's heavy and it's not a clamshell.
What? That's a fault? I pay extra to avoid clamshells...Why would I want *more* moving parts?
If you tell it you're on a LAN/T1 connection then it will saturate your connection. Just discovered that the other day.

dropouts here can't get a license until they're 18
So because they're not going to school you make it harder for them to work?

You mean like Baidu?
Alcohol can impair your work. Smoking does not.
But (from my understanding) in the US you *have* to buy from the carrier. If your phone undercuts the carriers it won't be sold.
Being in Australia I don't have to deal with this however.
I've never understood why people always have to have earphones loud enough that people can hear them from meters away. I can't hear mine (outside my ear, pointed towards the ear) until I'm within 10cm or usually even closer.
But the whole point of the game is to interact with people, it's not an FPS.
Umm WHY? What is it about current window managers that isn't acceptable?
There's Evolution, but not being an Outlook+Exchange user I'm not sure exactly what it's missing. Could someone please fill me in?
