I read it, and people that have enough time to whine and complain about a hobby like this have no real life. Thanks for the flame though...real classy.
I write in my own personal blog every day of the year. I hate it when people whine about this. And stress? I shudder to think what would happen if these people ever got real jobs.
The UN just decided they have control over the internet? How the heck does that work exactly?
UN - "Umm...by the way, we've come to the conclusion that you're doing a poor job 'running' the internet and well...we've decided to take it away from you."
USA - "How did you just decide that you control the internet when the whole point is that no one does? Is there any validity to your actions, or is this just another pissing contest?"
UN - "Shut up! Our logic is undeniable!"...
"Analysts say the fact the authorities are being more open about this launch may indicate that they are more confident of its success. "
So what...the guy is a national hero because he died or came back disfigured or something?
Am I the only one who thinks that's a bad idea? On the whole, making things more vague will filter out what in the long run may be a large group of users looking for something easy. Granted, converting files is easy...to most. We do however live in a world where if something like a website doesn't load in seconds, we start complaining, checking our connections, writing nasty emails, replacing stuff, etc., etc., etc. Is that really what we want in this case?
I get it. I know what TechTV was. It was however a part of G4...a station pretty much committed to gaming ^_^. I'm not saying what they did was a good idea. Like most companies, they were probably letting the finance people make core decisions, instead of the people with all the really good ideas that could help the company grow.
G4 tv has some really good programming...it also has some extremely poor stuff as well. It would be good to "trim the fat" so that stations like this can become respectable to all. Ya know, to help gaming grow.
My plans to become rich are finally realized! All I have to do is move to the UK, and as someone said earlier...wait for a virus to plague all the ATMs =D.
Hmm...it boots up really fast...but how quickly does it shut down? Sounds like something a nerd invented so he can hide his porn habits from his parents =D. JK/JK...really sweet though. And what's this about a 2.4 ghz p4? Yeah, those were cool a couple months ago =D. They can run what...solitaire?;-).
$2 million? Oh, sure...I'll take like...5 of those. They'll go good with the particle accellerator and mock hubble telescope I have in my backyard =). Anyways, this sounds really cool. A person could crunch so many numbers with one of those, or perhaps play a game of solitaire?
I've dreaded that this would happen. When Steam -does- work, it's about as useful as a nail in my eye. This or that doesn't work..."you were unable to download the security token for the server"...you can't switch bloody arms in certain display modes! Now we have to rely on this to activate our software? Don't get me wrong, I love Valve, but if I wanted to spend a lot on software and get raped in the process, I'd use AOL.
First of all, this isn't spam, so don't smear this post with hateful messages. Blarg. I personally know 2 people that have gotten Ipods this way, and it ended up costing them nothing.

"The developers hope to use this with video games and other entertainment, but it might also be used as a weapon to disable people."
Well, no crap...hackers would have a field day with this.

They should get sued for that, it's clearly misleading.
"Man, I had to walk uphill, barefoot in the snow to play it too!" - Hehe...both ways, right?

Now that's what you call the start of a very bad day.

It just doesn't seem like Intel could buy luck at this point...
Computers...are those things still around?
Tell that to the people dressed as civilians blowing away women and children with bombs strapped to their chest.
Slightly faster...to the MAX!
I love Apple hardware, and agree that games should be ported for it...but what about Linux? I know it's open source, etc, etc. but honestly...

True VR eh? I think the real question should be..."Can anyone say...retina damage?"

The best way to market a product (If it deserves to live) is to let the public have it.
