The information wanted is corespondence to and from Pukke to Baker (the holder of the gmail account) That is all that should be covered in the subpoena. Everything else is fishing for something they might find suspicous.. They are trying to find Pukkes' money, they think Baker has it (I guess) and it's invested in his development company.

First of all, I would think that with the sums of money we are talking, it should be easier than looking at emails to find out if money was transfered. It sounds like they (the lawyers working for the FTC) are trying to find some other evidence of something else, rather than finding the money, which is what they were hired to do. If they have reason to beleive that Baker has done something wrong, well that is unrelated to this case and it should be brought up seperately with new subpoenas. He is a witness in this case not a defendant (at least not until his corespondence with Pukke shows otherwise)

So maybe it's best not to silence what little we have.

Journalistic ethics are sorely needed. The media in the US touted the party line just for access to the story, and helped create the mess which is Iraq. There was absolutely no reason to rush the invasion, but the media portayed it like we had to act immediately. Time was running out for what ? The only time that was running out was Bushs' deadline, and all attempts by the Iraqis to talk to the Whitehouse at the time were rejected., you would think that might be newsworthy in itself.

So yeah, our media needs a overhaul, but we don't need laws to further restrict the reporting of things contrary to the powers in charge.

I used to get CAD drawings sent to me as PDFs, so that I could manufacture parts. I would end up redrawing them, when a DXF cad file could more easily just be put straight into the machine. This actualy proved safer from a manufacturing standpoint, because many engineers dimensions didn't match what they actually had drawn.. perhaps they wanted to shorten a part, and instead of redrawing it, they just changed the dimension (lazy).. now if I just made the part from their drawing sent straight to the machine it would be wrong, and I would be wrong, because you manufacture "to print", and the drawings dimensions are what count. If you are sent a PDF, there is no manipulatung of dimensions possible, it prints out as it was sent, and that's it. Cad files on the other hand can be wrong, and they can be edited... and then you end up in a "blame-game" as to who messed it up... PDF's much safer.
