I can't see the advantage of using a palm over using a small notebook (12" ibook or powerbook for example) - espiecally for browsing using Wifi cards as shown here. A compacted and hard to read screen compared to a full internet browser. Surely the space it takes up is made up for in usability nowdays.
the amount of friends and families' pcs i see nowdays with spyware,adware and stuff on them is unfunny. They are going to have to start cracking down on this with law penalties like can spam (oh wait, that did nothing)
The main difference is that Sony are more onwards with their consoles, Nintendo are just going backwards and claiming to be focusing on gameplay. Its easy to see who will win this "battle"
But competition is coming on strong, with each of the major cable/sattelite providers trying to get in on a market untappedd by tivo (uk) and moving into it's territory (US) i wonder how long Tivo can stay number 1
I doubt it, the initial cost will be high - but if they really want to create demand and get people crossing over to their platform, they will have to drop the prices to be competitive
PDA's were always a gadget, and with the introduction of Wirless into mainstream with lots of places, it showed up that internet browsing on the pda was terrible.
