Java has BigDecimal and BigInt which make possible working with big numbers.
The drawbacks of using these classes are performance (maybe it will be ok when running on future CPUs) and ease of use, since Java doesn't let the programmer overload operators you have to write stuff like:
BigDecimal b1 = new BigDecimal("100.04"); BigDecimal b2 = new BigDecimal("0.33"); BigDecimal result = b1.multiply(b2);
There are other JDK distributions, bundled Netbeans or web services development pack for example, these are over 100 MB. Either you are trolling or you've downloaded the wrong package.
I would love to get a Wii (all my consoles were from Nintendo, with the exception the Atari 2600), but I belive the price will be prohibitive when it gets here (Brazil). The consoles are quite expensive, but the games are WAY expensive. I was looking forward to get a newer Nintendo system (my last one was the N64), but after seeing the price of the games for the Game Boy Micro, DS and GC I gave up. Just to give you an idea:
The cheapest Game Boy Micro I found goes for R$399.00 ~ $181.00 (expensive, but affordable considering you only need one console). GBA games: R$ 69.00 (older games) to R$249.00 (WTF!?) ~ $31.00 to $113.00
I don't know anyone who has any of these consoles, but I know quite a few people who have PS2. The PS2 costs about $295,00 (with mod chip installed), but the games are virtually free due to piracy.
Is the situation similar in other countries? That would explain why Sony sells so many PS2.
"I'm glad to announce the final version (aka the Goldmaster) of SUSE
Linux 10.0. Developing 10.0 as part of the openSUSE project with an
open bugzilla was a new and great experience. Thanks a lot to
everybody that contributed in testing, reporting and fixing bugs,
discussions etc."
I've deleted that from the startup folder right after installing and to be honest didn't notice any speed loss. I haven't checked if the Linux version does something similar, but as I said it was quite fast too.

foobar is really amazing there are so many useful components. The only problem with it is the default interface, which is kind ugly but with a little configuration it can look quite nice. If anyone is intrested there are some cool configs
here. You'll need Column UI component to use those configs.
btw, if anyone knows a site with more Column UI configurations share with us.
I think the reason that the A64 runs cooler than the XP line is the lower default voltage on the A64.
Besides running at a lower voltage the A64 are not clocked a lot higher then the XP family (sometimes even lower than a comparable XP).
From what I have seen the heatspreader doesn't help since there is a layer of cheap thermal goo between it and the chip core. Without the heatspreader you could use AS5 or Ceramiquè and the core would be making contact with the cooper part of your heatsink.
On the other hand, the heatspreader protects the core, which probably worth temperature increase.

It means "the bay"
You made up the first example too.
Sun's JRE 1.5 is about 15 MB for most platforms. The JDK, which you won't need unless you want to develop Java apps, is about 50 MB for Windows and Linux and it comes with the JRE.

As others said you can double-click, but you can also click on the site icon or use Ctrl + L.
Wow! Now that's a bad deal... 34,500 for a car with no T&L!? Is it an Intel Extreme Car?
I'll be here all the week

It works with Javadocs (and probably with other sites using frames), you have to keep pressing F3 to search the other frames.
Is Fallout 3 ever going to be released?
Gold Master

You could just use a character map application, like the ones that come with Windows and KDE (KCharSelect).
In the Linux version of Firefox this is the default behavior, which in my opnion is quite annoying.
Fortunatley it can be disabled (or enabled in other OSes):
1. Type about:config in the location bar.
2. Filter with "middle".
3. Set middlemouse.paste to false (or true if you want to enable it).
I still find amazing that they managed to fit 1.7 billion transitors in a chip.

I know it is kind OT, but have you tried Adobe Reader 7? It is quite fast in both Windows and Linux.
2. show the url in the location bar for web pages that fail to load
Try this extension.

I've installed this extension but /. still doesn't render properly :\

I think that's different, because this information was once true and reliable.
Wikipeia is nice because you can always find info about the latest topics, but who guarantees the quality of the information?
Also, the A64 has the "Cool and Quiet" tecnology, which can throttle down the processor and reduce the voltage when the CPU is not being stressed.

FF has an image zooming extension but AFAIK it won't scale text and images automatically.
"...it seemed to work as well as in windows." I am not sure if this is good or bad
I forgot to use the line break tags. it should be:
Firefox can do it out of the box:
1. Type about:config in the location bar
2. Look for browser.tabs.loadInBackground
3. Set the value to true
I am not sure if you need to reload the browser or not.
