You might be thinking of Windows Messenger.. the icon on the system tray looks about the same as MSN Messneger's.. but it has about 1/3 of the retarded features.
I blow $20 on nothing, and I do it quite often. Yesterday, for example, I spent $15 on two lunches at McDonalds. It didn't taste good, it didn't look good, and it lacked any significant nutritional value. (Yeah, I know, it's McDonalds, I didn't expect to enjoy the meal, I just wanted to stop being hungry)
Now, it may not be a very long game, but I found Episode One to be a very high quality bit of entertainment.
In my opinion, the level of detail and the content itself was amazing. Sure, it was a little short, but I don't mind paying for for something that doesn't suck.
If I had paid $20 for 5 hours of the single player versions of Quake 4 or FarCry, I'd have been pretty dissapointed.
That's amazing. I had to go download the latest beta release of ndiswrapper and use the windows driver to get my dell's internal wireless to work.. and even then I had trouble with WPA encrypted connections.
I doubt it. I read the article but I don't think it was all that clear; I think it's just a fancy method of driver distribution.
So it sounds like most wireless card manufacturers will continue to sell hardware without offering linux drivers, leaving you to use the windows driver with ndiswrapper.
Yes, and I would like a notification when any story uses includes css, javascript, images, flash, embedded movies of any kind, or frames (inline or otherwise).
Seriously though, Flash Video (FLV) really is a pretty good video codec for the web. I'd take it over RM, WMV, or MOV any day.
I think its effects are irrelevant. It should be nobody's business but your own what you put in your body.
Drugs should be regulated and taxed. The billions of dollars we waste trying to stop the supply chain would be better spent on rehab programs. For those that don't want to be rehabilitated, they should be allowed to pay the ultimate price for their poor decisions. The gene pool is suffering enough as it is.
The only thing drug prohibition is successful at is generating a black market and violence as a result, not to mention putting thousands of people in jail who never did any harm to anyone.
Who wants to bet that the final version will have compulsory adsense or sponsored links down the right hand side?
The HTML/CSS code is appauling. They haven't even bothered to put the CSS in a seperate file, so if you create a multipage site, it's going to keep downloading the came old crap again and again.
Dude, I know! And there isn't any shell access or PHP/MySQL support! How am I supposed to run my TYPO3 content management system on this worthless service?
Seriously though, if the service gets popular, they'll probably do the external CSS files if only to save themselves bandwidth. The code itself seems to be well written.
You think all of these people who bitch and moan are going to stop shopping at wal-mart and give up their inexpensive crap made in China? Most of these hypocrites are only interested in sounding like they give a shit.
I wouldn't mind paying a little more to shop locally, it's always good to support local businesses, but it seems I'm in the same situation that you're in.
The local computer shops aren't more expensive by just a small amount, they're taking advantage of the lack of competition here and totally raping everyone who needs a part *now*
I've had good experience with ZipZoomFly.com (used to be googlegear.com) but I have a terrible time finding what I'm looking for on their site. It's just not as intuitive as Newegg's site.
I've never ordered through mwave, but I'll keep it in mind next time I'm shopping around.
I said that a package deal SHOULD be less expensive than buying the channels individually.
$6 per channel IS more than I pay right now. What I'm trying to say is that I would be willing to pay more per channel if I get to choose what I want, and as long as the total monthly bill doesn't exceed my current monthly bill.
That $6 dollar figure is just something I pulled outa my ass -- call it wishful thinking.
It's obviously only going to work for people who only watch a few channels. Nobody is going to spend 5 times more on their monthly Cable TV bill to get fewer channels... that would be absurd.
It should be more economical to buy a package deal than to buy each channel individually.
I'd be happy to pay up to $6 a month for each of the 5 or 6 channels that I watch, rather than $60 per month for the 250 channels that I never watch.
If choice means I get to choose between 250 channels of pure garbage, I guess I don't care so much about giving it up.
I still think the majority of the public will go for the large package deals because many people watch a wide variety of channels, especially families.
I hope you're right. I didn't realize that the term Cyber Monday was new, I just figured I hadn't heard about it before.
I don't do the Black Friday thing because I'd rather avoid the mobs of rude people going into fits of frenzied consumerism (I know, how un-American of me). I was hoping to buy some cheap hardware online on "Cyber Monday" but most of the deals pretty much sucked, and didn't even come close to stuff my more tolerant friends bought at Staples on Black Friday before 11am. (the 200 gig Maxtor HD for $30 after rebates sticks in my head)
It's still early here, so maybe I'm just misunderstanding your point... but the text you quoted says that people in the United States, Europe, and Canada are able to enter the competition. So what's your complaint again?
You might be thinking of Windows Messenger.. the icon on the system tray looks about the same as MSN Messneger's.. but it has about 1/3 of the retarded features.
I think the point is that 3.7mb for 6 webcam quality photos is kind of rediculous.

I guess I have the wrong laptop.

As far as nutritional value goes, it sounds about the same as eating ramen.
Then say "five point ten" instead of "breezy badger"
I think quoting rants you found on Something Awful puts you a rung or two below "stoned dropout"
I haven't been following Mambo news as closely as I used to since moving to Joomla. Care to elaborate?
Google's in the business of making information easy to find/access. I would say this falls under that category.
Ditto on Mario Party. When I had a roomate, the two of us and our girlfriends (now wives) used to play the game together.
His wife has got to the worst video game player I've ever met... but we all had a great time playing the Mario Party series.
Yeah, that's really all I want... A holodeck. And maybe one of those neat food-making-doodads.

Or like on Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood when he shows you how pretzels are made on Picture Picture
Yeah, it sucks. Hopefully lots of people were pissed enough to go after their $500 for the violation.
I don't understand how you're disagreeing.

Oh well.
All that processing power and storage, and the the best use for it that you can come up with is television?
