How exactly are they making it more difficult to avoid commercials? I still fast forward through them just like before. The only change I've noticed is more commercials support Tivo's "press thumbs up for more info" thing if you do watch them.
Microsoft recently deviated from their normal patch schedule to release the WMF patch. What is Microsoft's reasoning on trying to hold critical patches until a specified date every month instead of releasing it as soon as its ready?
Samsonite has a lot of nice backpacks for laptops. I have had one for around a year that's cushoned, has an internal frame, and holds my laptop and all my other crap comfortably.

So you're half right. In the DC Universe Gotham and Metropolis are both equally New York.
I use sneakemail to have unique addresses with a label for where I used it. All the addresses point to my main one so it's easy to tell when someone sells an address. then I just kill that address and no more spam.
I think it's a great feature. It knows I like movies with a certain actor and records them when they come on, or it sees I like Enterprise so it'll record TNG if there's space. The shows it suggests are always the first deleted when space is needed.
I read on their forums yesterday that they don't have a webmaster at the moment and had to hire a contractor to get the site redone quickly. Blame AOL for their layoffs.
you only have to pay to rip and encode in mp3. They have to pay licensing fees for the mp3 encoder so that's all they're charging for. The AOL icons are because AOL bought them and they're forced to put that in. At least they let you choose not to put them on the desktop.
I'm using "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030804 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1" and it's working. I haven't tried newer builds in Windows, but I also installed a nightly a few days ago on my laptop with Mandrake and it was working there too. You might want to check out the mozillazine forums. They're a big help.
Divx 5.0.5 is the latest, Divx Pro has always been adware/payware. They moved the free version off so they can have 2 things to charge and one "free" but with ads. I don't see anything on the page about what you say. Where is your proof?
isn't that counter to what you have in your signature?
I'd bet that a bunch of that 116,000 people were kids that saw something about that booklet on TV.
I've seen various antivirus sites get redirected too.

You could walk. It would take you a while, but you could, or you could take a bus or a cab.

could it be that so many outlets are far left (NYT, etc) that if a paper is fairly unbiased, it looks like it leans right?
it didn't talk about extracting or decrypting video, so no. It just voids your warranty.
http://www.autopatcher.com/ is a pretty good resource for doing offline updates.
it's almost like Real got their design method from [buffering...]Excitebike.
You can have your e-mail client delete immediately. It's in the server settings.

if you continue doing it after the law is passed, however, then you can be punished. At least that's how I understand it.

it's too bad that the popular vote isn't what elects presidents in the US. The electoral vote is all that really matters.

Using Mozilla Thunderbird on Windows I have gotten zero virii. It flagged them as junk and neatly put them in the junk folder.

I thought inline autocomplete was enabled by default.

This makes me wonder what percentage of people posting in this thread have ever even used the auto update feature.
