I once told a teacher I was going to cheat. He stll did not catch me. I had a blazer on and a paper with an elastic band that I could pull out and would shoot back when I released it.

I actually cheated, even though I did not needed to, as I had put more time in making the paper smaller and smaller, so that I learned it anyway. Stupid brain!

These flagships are there to make the reast seem cheap. Remember when 200 USD was expensive for a phone?

Sure, you can do much more with it now. When I look at my computer, I also can do much more with it now and prices I need to pay for a PC are lower than what I used to pay.

Now people buy a phone that ONLY costs 500 USD and think they are smarter than those wgo paid 1000 USD. No, you still paid more than what you needed.

Many bank web sites engage in a particularly obnoxious brand of idiocy

At this moment I have to drag around 4 key generators to use during a login process. Each one uses a different process to log in.

One bank asks me to put in the card in the reader, so I can enter a pin, so I can enter a code that I can enter on the website.
That same bank also owns a different brand where all this is not needed. I just log in, they send me the code via SMS and be done. The amounts I can handle on the second are much larger than the first.

And at work, where I have yet another key maker, I can not even install or reach a key manager. And it is there where I would need it, if anything else but remember the logins I was not allowed to select myself.

That way Europe gets Canada (We have experience with muli-lingual politics inside one country) and keep Scotlands and Northern Ireland. And England and Wales get to be state 51 and 52 and can restart using Inches and the like.

That should be make everybody happy. I seriously see no downsides.

I remember that our company shut down. Everybody had to go home. Our department (Not IT) had mostly dualboot PCs with Linux on it. Those who hadn't had one after 15 minutes or so.

We just kept working. Fun conversation when the COO called me and said we had to leave and I said no. Yes, we stayed, he backed down pretty fast. Conversation went a bit like:
COO : You need to turn off the PCs and leave the building
Me: No, we are running software that will not be infected
COO: Why do you ignore a direct order
    Me: We are department
