If you have the right set up you can put it on your computer and then take to another device. TV shows, much better from DVR. This is the same thing that has been happening with all the other mediums out there. the TV is letting people control thier viewing EASILY instead of being dictated to when they will watch and how they will watch. this loops back around to the other article last week about movie viewship being down. I know I wait for most movies to watch on my big screen(in my comfortable house, with my sound system) when I want to. Same with some competition bow hunters, doesn't mean you want to kill something you just like target shooting. Not all guns are made to kill/injure infact some are designed for the competitions with the 1000 dollar grips and modifications to make them hit the paper more and more, and would never be useful for hunting or shooting someone.

This is one trend here that I am not happy with at all. I for one know that I must have my time away from work, specifically with MY GF, and with the boy scout troop I help with and also just working on the house making sure that everything is taken care of like cleaning and mowing the yard, and cooking. Considering I work for IBM supporting the Lucent account, on their billing systems which is world wide, I am definitely way over the 40 hours that we "officially" bill the customer. But when they expect you to do both development and Customer Care for the system, there is no way you can get 35 hours of development in, and still take care of all the problems. When you work on something that is up all the time, then you have to work all the time. AT&T's Network Services Group is like this, at least that is what they say in the interview, that someone is sitting in front of the computers 24/7/365(gee what an encouragement to come to work for them) but at least they are truthful about the fact that you will be spending most of your time working during the week. I think this has just become a byproduct of the way we live and expect things. If you want everything working all the time, then someone has got to watch it all the time.
