I'm not sure if you realize that that Dell is not 64 bit. Maybe you do, but I'm not sure so I'm just letting you know. If you want to go with Dell then you should wait a few months until the Core 2 Duos come out (they are 64 bit).
The US ignored the UN because the UN wasn't enforing its resolutions. The UN has the potential for a lot of good (and it does do a lot of good) but on big matters it's pretty useless.
"If they wait too long, the PS3 will begin looming on the horizon, causing even devout early adopters to question the intelligence of buying a stand-alone Blu-Ray unit."
Couldn't that be Sony's strategy? They know all the bad press the PS3 has been getting so all they have to do is make it more attractive as a Blu-Ray player than the stand-alones. This kills 2 birds with 1 stone; it get's people buying the PS3 for games and for the Blu-ray capabilities. Either way, they win.
I'm not sure if it is fixed in EP1 but Both Half-Life games always give me motion sickness. COD does too, actually. I can play Wolfenstein: ET for hours without any problems but sit me in front of Half-Life or Half-Life 2 and I feel sick within minutes. I don't know what it is.
Any company that advertises its products by calling users of other products derogatory names automatically has a major hit against it in my book. Calling Ipod users "iSheep," "iChimps," "iHerd," etc. is counter productive. "Hi! We're the company that slings around insults like 6-year-olds. We can't really compete with the iPod so we'll just resort to name calling." Yep, that's an intelligent way to win fans. Just because negative campaigns *barely* work in politics doesn't make them good business practices.
I just wanted to add that Apple does poke fun at its competitors in its ads but in a much more subtle and light-hearted way. There really is a big difference in these new anti-iPod ads and what Apple does in their ads.
Ralph Nader had a campaign budget 4.5 times the size of Michael Badnarik's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._presidential_ele ction,_2004. Nader has also run as a candidate in the last 20 elections (okay, a little exaggeration) so he's a little more famous than Badnarik. Maybe there was a media plot too, but I doubt it. It's more about money and names.
The NSA is only doing this so they can start a phone ad program. Google is raking in the money with their adsense program, why can't the government do it with a phone program.
Voiceover: "Talking about flowers? Push 1 to automatically order a bouquet of irises from NSAflowers.com. [Nearly unintelligible garble] shippingandhandlingextraincludesbuiltinsecuritycam era"
Later on: "We notice you are criticizing the NSA, please push 1 now to call the CIA and turn yourself in or push 2 for the FBI."
What, only one lawyer? You can't win with only one. If you're serious about your lawsuit you have to hire a whole gaggle of lawyers and overwhelm by numbers.
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do.

Well, maybe only with a Democrat president. :)

I know it's not a good strategy but this is Sony. They've made some very poor decisions lately about their products.

That just gave me a wonderful idea for my Slashdot sig. I should be accepting PayPal donations for all the lost work /. has resulted in.
A body bag.
Anyone happen to get a mirror of the links? They are completely dead at this moment.

Hence the ad campaign that will result in 15 minutes of fame then life will go back to normal.
Now your post is pretty funny.

And an even better way to have your kid want to read is for them to see you doing it. If they never see you read, why should they read?
"We are the Champions" or any of the Rocky music: "Eye of the Tiger" and those ones
Yeah, I was about to post a similar thing. I've run WMP perfectly fine without admin rights; then again, it was version 8 or something like that.
Now we know why Microsoft didn't include a HD-DVD drive in the 360. Microsoft isn't as dumb as they sometimes come across.
Even if what you say is true at all, Apple would just release their own iTunes cell phone and they'd take over the market.
The AARP is the most powerful lobbying group by the way, but excellent post!
Hopefully there isn't a wiillful rebellion against my karma. =)
It looks like I'll be playing my Nintendo into the Wii hours of the night.
